I don't blame Arrowhead.

I blame Sony.

They had the whole world in their hand, all they needed to do was step back and ♥♥♥♥ off.

Then they did this. GG, guys. GG.

Bought on a whim because why not.

Imagine my surprise when it turned out to be an actually decent game.

Perfectly serviceable when alone...

But get three friends and suddenly MEMES AHOY.

Do you want a game with great gunplay, and feels fun to run around in?

Do you want a game with a pretty good story and decent characters in it?

Do you want a game that looks incredibly beautiful with many exotic locations?

Do you want a game that ignores the basic idea of a story and just throws you in with zero context?

Do you want a game where you can't play the initial story or any of the DLC for it because... reasons?

Do you want them to milk you for money and game content that they'll inevitably remove?

Then have I got a game for YOU!

Yeah, if the content I spend my money on turns out to be a damn rental, there's a big problem. Nevermind the MTO and IRL BS they got going on. If I pay for a story, I expect to KEEP that story to come back to whenever.

But they like to "vault" stuff frequently and you cannot even play the initial story that kicked off D2.

Hard pass from me and I suggest you do the same.

Only one series could have a sequel become a giant a titan as the first.

I won't say much, I can't say much. Cause you don't want spoilers, trust me.

Instead I will tell you 4 things.

1. Don't be afraid to explore.
2. See how creative you can get with death.
3. Write down what you think you need to.
4. Use a controller. That damn ship is wonky...

Get it. Worth every penny.

As it turns out, the equation of battle royal + fun is a fantastic thing to do. And far better than sh!t like PUBG and the like.

Haven't seen any cheaters yet, but I'm sure they're there.

Don't go in expecting anything groundbreaking or new. Don't expect world class stories or gameplay.

Instead, set up a time and place where it's nice and quiet, maybe even dark. Settle in, and start up.

And then... Just go for the journey. Explore. Take it easy. Relax.

Find a friend? Wonder around, explore. Don't be afraid to do so. And when it's over? Give them a shoutout, it's only polite.



After all, at the end of it, it's all about the journey, memories, and friends you made along it.

It's Halo. Everyone knows Halo. It's exactly what you expect.

My only gripe? I wish they'd have given us all the damn games at once.
