Hey Robocop fans outta there!

Even though I would like to say a few words about this game here, you should know that this is (once again) not a real review. Thanks for your understanding. 😉

So what's the best way to start? The game is a terrific adaptation of the popular RoboCop movies with - admittedly - a few unpleasant things that don't get a thumbs down in my recommendation for this review. The atmosphere in this game was too ingenious, captivating me by the second. The story with the main missions and side missions were mostly captivating and great - some were actually boring or just strange. The stories and the background of the protagonists and some of the sourpusses were wonderfully funny, but also profound - especially when it came to Alex Murphy. The ability to influence the story largely through your own decisions really appealed to me and I'm glad how the story turned out in the end.

The feature that you can improve your character with many skills was logical and well implemented. I also tried to make RoboCop as "human as possible". And everyone has to find out for themselves how this is possible. 😊

Now you probably want to list some negative points, right? Ok, of course they're part of it. But it's still important to know that Teyon is a small development company that somehow managed to win the rights for Terminator and RoboCop. And rightly so, in my opinion.

Well, now to the negative:
As I briefly mentioned above, there were some quests that were either just boring or even illogical and not really "appropriate" as far as RoboCop is concerned. But as long as I got my XPs for it, that was bearable. I also have to say that the gunplay was extremely negative. If you were involved in a shootout with several enemies, you had to struggle more to aim properly. I know what the developers were thinking, but aiming is an absolute cramp that you can't otherwise imagine. So slow and inaccurate. You had to sleep with the "bad aiming" to get to grips with it, especially in the later stages. But what I like to emphasize again and again: Just try to always aim upside down, it'll go faster 😉 Another thing I didn't like was RoboCop's very slow movement. And before the hardcore RoboCop fans jump on me. Yes, I know that RoboCop is a robot that generally moves slowly and inaccurately. But in the game I found the movements really "exhausting" at times. But you can cope with that too. And yes, there were also some in-game bugs that made you wonder why you hadn't seen them before. For example, I once saw a police officer in the station whose face was suddenly twisted 180 degrees (*) and I felt a bit sick at the sight of it. Or that I saw a "flying" cigarette at the petrol station. Or spurting blood that was just "hanging" in the air. Yes, there were bugs like this in this game, but also in many other games. That's why there's definitely no thumbs down for me in the review.

To summarize, I can say that the 23 Euros I paid for the game were very much worth it. Just as was the case with Terminator: Resistance. Teyon knows all too well how to "integrate" 80s/90s flair from movies into good games. I really hope that more movies will make it into games in the future from the hand of Teyon!

I'm glad that you had fun with the game, apart from the things mentioned and which are understandable to me :letters_heart:
