Everything that made the first overwatch fantastic was gutted and removed and the game is a shell of its former self. 6v6 was so much more fun especially the 2nd tank role and i loved grinding the game for loot-boxes as i had an incentive to play more. Now days you have to pay to unlock new characters and skins and 5v5 is a disaster. The characters are also all very boring and stale and there is no skill ceiling. Meanwhile Team Fortress 2 on the other hand has 9 very simple characters to play as and pick up and the skill ceiling is infinitely higher for each character. When i play overwatch 2 i feel like im stuck on training wheels.

Dont get me wrong i absolutely love this game but with these recent string of patches this past month as of writing this my game has become unplayable. The very first black loading screen before the intro cut scene takes ages to load then the cutscene plays witch is unskippable and the subtitles are out of sync and then when i get to the defrosting helldivers loading screen it just loads for a few minutes then the game just full on crashes. I have done everything from verifiying the game file integrity to completely deleting and reinstalling the game and nothing ive tried to do has worked in resolving this issue. Ive also heard its due to my internet but i was playing on this same wifi network about a month ago just fine. I hope someone knows how to fix or resolve this issue.

Update: As of writing this part i am now able to access the game but now its just extremly unstable and for some reason the frames are terrible. For my first 100 hours i had no issues with anything performance related up until now. Game freezes and crashes alot randomlly as well.

Currently right now the game is pretty unstable and either disconnects or crashes often, but the thing that holds me back from not recommending it would be that i think if this game gets polished up and more optimized it would be a lot more enjoyable. I think the gun play is very exciting and there is quite a bit of realism with the sounds and ballistics. I enjoy the gun customization a lot and the weapon selection is pretty good to. I hope charter customization comes in the future where there is a wide scope of cosmetic changes you can make but nothing breaks the theme and style of the game. I think being able to change small things like the plate carriers, helmets, NVGs, gas masks, tops, bottoms and feet wear would be pretty awesome. Also in regards to NVGs i think a cool mechanic to make the game more challenging would be to add a battery life to them and depending on what type of NVGs you have it can determine the quality and battery life of them and incentive's more people to use flashlights on weapons. With the flashlights being able to select if you want a short range but wide beam or a narrower but longer range flashlight beam would be pretty cool along with an IR flashlight for NVG users.

Id rather play BattleBit Remastered over COD and battlefield any day. The gunplay is very fun and i absolutely love the scale and size of the teams. The community is also pretty good about removing hackers from games as well.

Ive spent more hours in the character customization and in the first part of the game experimenting with different classes than sitting down and having one play through

Too many bright and vibrant colored operator skins and camos. It looks like someone threw up a rainbow on the game. Needs more regular and realistic camos and operator skins and less neon vomit. Also i cant stand the fact that every operator has to be some tier 1 edgelord or some celebrity and or other character from media. Just give us generic soldiers and let us customize every aspect with them like in COD ghosts. Also custom gun camos, decals and emblems needs to return.

The micro transaction system is extremely predatory and greedy as well. I think there needs to be more things that require skill or in game milestones to unlock.

Skill based matchmaking is awful as well because you either roll lobbies or get rolled. SBMM makes the game feel to competetive and sweaty when i just wanna get into a random lobby and just chill out.

The moderation system is horrible to using AI to monitor in game voice chats is a terrible idea as well. The concept of using AI to monitor VC is just extremely creepy and dystopic just because a few select individuals get offended at players on an M rated game. I can understand it being used to stop people from saying things that are flat out racist or whatever but where are you going to draw the line with it. If people get offended they can just mute the person, thats why a mute button exists.

EDIT:
So i caved in and got MW3 just to give it a fair chance and actually play the game. Literally just a copy and paste of MW2 from the UI, weapon unlock system, scorestreaks etc. SBMM is destroying the game for casual players. The one thing i do like about this game is the invasion and ground war game modes. The SBMM isnt as strong feeling in it and alot of the people who play those modes are more casual fans of the series so those servers dont really feel sweaty. But outside of those two game modes MW3 is pretty terrible. If i could refund it i would.

MW3 update: Season 2 just dropped and they still keep adding in dumbass cosmetics and skins, as well as ramping up SBMM ill literally have games with what appear to be bots based on how the players move then i know the next 4-5 games will be a sweat fest. I just want to experiment with different weapons and attachment combos but its impossible to when everyone is playing as their life's are on the line IRL. If you dont use a meta weapon and loadout its impossible to keep up with all of these tryhard wanna be content creators and streamers who never touch grass. Also the amount of storage this game takes up is absurd. This game series has been dead since part 1 of this game came out in 2019.

Top tier voice acting, better than all these modern AAA games coming out. The gunplay is very chaotic and fun plus I love the ragdoll effects after someone gets hit by a baseball bat.
