Morrowind is something special, something different. Imagine three times the quests and content of Skyrim compressed into one small island, with so much lore and depth that you can lose yourself for hours and hours. Sure, it isn't a really pretty game, but slap MGSO on it and you've got an astonishingly good looking game to complement it's other aspects. You see, in Skyrim you find out you are dragonborn... cool! Yes, that means you get to incinerate people, make them fly off of cliffs etc. In Morrowind though, you start off as almost weaker than mudcrabs, but become a GOD by the end of the game, quite literally. Feel like flying around the whole map without even needing console commands? Go ahead. Want to jump like a super hero from Seyda Neen to Balmora? Do it! Kill the end game boss in one hit? Yes, you can do that. The possibilities are endless, and even though all of the above is true, that doesn't mean you're the strongest thing around, there are still monsters that are quite dangerous even in the late game, see what's different between newer entries and Morrowind? Yes, FREEDOM, to become whatever you like. Now, Morrowind isn't perfect, but it's probably the best game in the series. These days, even though it has aged well enough, it can be very difficult to get into, and since you are thrown instantly into a massive world with only a small dagger, quite confusing. But don't give up. Keep playing, and you could turn your 3 hours of frustration into your 300 hour playthrough of the best game experience you've ever had.

So I don't think I need to tell you how much I recommend this game. But as I said, it's not without flaws, it's simply that the strong points make it so amazing that you won't need to worry about the flaws. I think there is something in this game for everyone, and it's an experience that can't be missed. Grab it in the christmas sale (it's almost always on sale then), grab MGSO, also known as Morrowind Graphics and Sound Overhaul, and make sure your body is ready for one of the best PC games ever made. Have fun!
