This game stinks of 2000's RPG feels and it's not a bad thing... sort of. Star Wars KOTOR has to be one of the most rewarding/frustrating game I've played besides *cough* Bethesda games. It has great story telling and world building that I believe is better than modern RPGs, albeit cheesy sometimes.

31 hours in and idk what the stats fully mean but the game is simple enough for someone who has played modern RPGs to understand. (note I have never played KOTOR) It will take a 2-3 hours to have a small understanding of skill points and I believe this small understanding is not too puzzling yet has great depth in it.

Combat however is very dated and it's something that pisses me off occasionally. I recommend those who haven't played to have some patience and try to understand the combat. 8/10 of my experience in combat was fairly hard but what I wasn't fond of is how combat difficulty can randomly spike without much notice, I think this is a distinguishable trait of old "dungeons".

And lastly this game is old so there will be bugs. Luckily there aren't many in 31 hours of gameplay but cinematic crashes are known to happen so SAVE OFTEN. I learned that the hard way.

Hope my review doesn't spoil much, I believe its best for a newcomer to experience the whole game without any insights (besides the save often). If you're having that old RPG itch, this game will definitely satisfy you.
