Early Access Review
Strangely relaxing, and definitely fun to play.

Edit: Updating my review because its been a while and 200 more hours played.

With the 0.4.0 release I feel the game has been coming along very nicely. A few bugs, and a bit of progression pacing they need to work out but they're usually pretty good about fixing things like that. Has an okay bit of ship variety, but of course it's still early access, and there's always room for more.

Runs quite smoothly, especially for an early access game. Tutorial has been reworked since I last reviewed and is considerably more clear about a lot of things. Stretches out a little longer to blend into Act 1 of the story a bit so it doesn't just throw everything at you at once.

If you like taking your time breaking down ships and just getting into the zen moment, then this is something I recommend picking up.

If you like working against the clock and seeing just how fast you can rip a ship apart, then this is something I recommend picking up.

If you like floating in zero-g, looking at your fusion cutter and then the reactor and wondering why you even bother anymore with the futility of life, before slicing a giant hole in the side and embracing the oncoming fireworks.... then this is something I recommend picking up.

.....But don't worry. Lynx has your genetic profile on record in perpetuity, and they'll always be happy to put you in a spare body. For a modest fee of course.
