I am going to start this by saying I slept on this game big time. When it came out I assumed it was some attempt to ride the wave of the Outer Worlds or bait for indie game award nominations. I recently played the game after buying it during the recent sale and it's definitely one of the best games I have played in a long time and maybe bordering on being one of the greatest games of all time.

The Outer Wilds has you playing as an explorer in the Outer Wilds and without spoiling anything I will just say you start on Timber Hearth which is the base planet for the explorers, you will begin here and learn the fundamentals of gameplay such as flying, using your space suit, using your jetpack as well as using your signal locator. This is practically all the information the game gives you and once you pick up the launch codes to your ship you can set off to anywhere you want right from the start.

The genius of the game is that everywhere in the universe is connected and after speaking to some friends who had also played about halfway through my playthrough we had all been down completely different paths. The genius of this is I had solved a puzzle on one planet and my friend had no idea about how to solve it, another funny thing happened when a friend accidentally solved a puzzle purely by being in the right place at the right time which had took me venturing to another planet to find the solution to the puzzle.

The game is also phenomenal because there is no combat and it manages to be engaging and keep you hooked from start to finish without needing to throw waves of enemies in your face constantly. It doesn't throw you lots of exposition and instead allows you to find out new lore at your own pace.

Very Minor Spoilers: The game is also incredibly easy to pick up and play as early on you discover the short 22 time loop will repeat and anything you discover in one loop can later be applied to the next loop. The other cool thing about this is that a player who knows how to complete the game could beat it in one loop so it's really about discovering more solutions as you go against the clock.

In conclusion the game is brilliant, doesn't hold your hand and the graphics and sound are sublime. It is very hard to explain the genius of this game while avoiding spoilers so I highly recommend trying this game.

This game is thoroughly awful and filled with hackers, the gunplay feels horrific and there's practically no point to playing this game unless you want to torture yourself for an hour or two.

Feels cheap and tacky in terms of how the whole interface is laid out, might as well be a browser game and it is generally repetitive with every match playing out in a way that is nearly identical to the last. There's honestly barely any gameplay here aside from clicking.

This game is fun for a short text adventure type game and for four quid you can't really go wrong with that price. It took me 2 hours to beat but this isn't exactly a game that needs padding or excessive length. The dialogue is good and engaging and the game has a nostalgic aesthetic to it.

The end was kind of irritating and seemed a bit out of place compared to the rest of the game in terms of how the characters act but I understand the point it's trying to put across even if it does seem a bit forced. The midgame also has a timed section where I did not realise you could only respond to one character so I tried to juggle between talking to two characters and then the one that had the timer run out first was the one I ended up not speaking with which wasn't really my choice at all as I wasn't even aware it was a choice.

Overall I would say to buy this if you want a short text adventure/narrative game for a low price to entertain you for a few hours.

I will start this off by saying I was considering giving it a positive review until the last few hours of play. I wish steam had a mixed option for reviews because I would hit it in a heartbeat at this point. The reason I changed my mind was because there is simply a lack of content here especially considering the £20.00 pricetag. I received the product for free though due to me owning the previous two games in the franchise.

The game has a set of preset environments/levels that will be randomly selected as you play through a node. A node is essentially a stage and it consists of multiple of the preset levels that you will have to beat without dying. This is an issue because by the time you get done with this game you will have seen all the levels over and over and over again. The game took me around 9 hours to beat which I would usually say is bad but this game outstayed its welcome in my opinion. The gameplay was fun at first but it's the exact same as the first game except with powers that you gain as you progress through the game.

So far you are probably thinking that this doesn't sound all that bad and I must say the core gameplay loop is fun for a while but by the end it's tedious and frustrating. The final chapter has you run through 15 levels with 3 lives. You cannot heal for this final stage. Once you beat the game your reward is more pretentious BS. That is because throughout this game it is peppered with pretentious BS and out of place tryhard deep/philosophical text documents that you are "rewarded" with for beating levels. Once you collect enough of the tryhard scriptures you will be allowed to access the final few chapters of the game. Once you beat these chapters you have to spam the E key repeatedly over and over and over and over to zoom the screen in and then you move a 2D rectangle to follow a trail and press enter on random white floating objects. Then the game begins an 8 hour timer, the timer is in real time. If you do not run down the 8 hour clock then you are locked out of playing the game for the time being (I'm guessing reinstalling the game would remove the timer but I do not have the motivation to try this), wtaf is this ending and why did the devs think this was a good idea. The plot is pretentious and I wasted no time focusing on it as this is an action game and I played for the gameplay.

Overall I would say this isn't great due to the tacked on BS and tedium that kicks in towards the end of the game as well as the random level selection and design but if you are looking for more SUPERHOT and want some fluid, fast-paced pick up and play action then go ahead and buy it.

This mod is a breath of fresh air in terms of the Half Life games and provides a bit more of a challenge with more punchy weapons that are just as dangerous to you as they are to the enemies. The atmosphere is strong and you are immersed in the role of a metrocop throughout. If you ever wondered what it would be like to be on the opposing side of the war in Half Life 2 then this is a great way to experience it.

The only criticisms that I have are that a few spots that instantly kill you don't have a save spot for a while before and some of the voice acting isn't mixed well compared to the gun noises so you are best playing with subtitles in case you miss some of the conversations.

Overall the mod was great and I could've played a few more hours for sure so I'm looking forward to the sequel.

Divinity: Original Sin is a phenomenal RPG and is packed with content, the combat system is well developed and involves a great depth of strategy and the co-op mode is well implemented into the campaign without feeling intrusive or breaking the pace of the game. The character building is great as it allows you to combine a mix of magical specialisations together or to use a variety of defence and melee based skills or you can combine all of these. The story is a bit lack luster at the start as well as the pace starting slow but once you start to follow the story and you leave the first area the plot gets more interesting. Quests are well designed too and allow you to approach them in your own way and work out a strategy to beat them. I would highly recommend this game to anybody who is an RPG enthusiast.

If you are looking for the ultimate Hitman experience then you've found it. This is hands down the best game in the franchise and the amount of choice you have in how you complete your mission is phenomenal. The stealth feels natural and the arsenal of weapons is incredible along with the upgrades that go with them. The shooting feels satisfying, the hits pack a punch and the game holds up incredibly well today with the environments still looking breathtaking like they did when it released. The level design is the best in the series and replaying the maps to learn the layout and figure out the most efficient way to beat them is gripping. The story takes a backseat and isn't anything to write home about but everything else is stellar. If you don't own this then you owe it to yourself to pick it up now.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is realistic and authentic but that's honestly all the praise I can give it.

My first gripe with the game is the heads up display which looks incredibly outdated and is too big for it's own good. The other big problem is the save system which means that you have to possess a consumable to save your game so if you want to go and do something in real life you can either finish the quest to get an autosave which may take over an hour or you can use a consumable which is then permanently gone.

The problems above can be fixed with mods though, what isn't fixed is the story, the story is bland and uses the guise of being authentic to deflect criticism. The story is just a generic revenge quest with lots of boring quests placed in it such as patrolling a town that are excused by people because it's realistic. The combat is also awful, I understand that you improve as you get further and further in the game and I've played a fair amount of it but it's not even balanced. Half of the time you can break the combat by spamming a stab attack at the enemies head and one or two are bound to hit and drop them instantly. Another irritating thing is that if you want to take out an enemy in armour you best be packing a mace as well as a sword because it takes actual minutes to kill one opponent in heavy armour if you aren't carrying a mace. The combat also requires you to lock on and move your mouse in one of five directions to pick where you slash from and it doesn't flow at all and the enemies somehow block everything so you are better off just spamming until they no longer block. Half of the map is just fields and roads too but worst of all are the bugs. The game released a year ago as of me writing this and it still hasn't been fixed, I've owned it since launch and enemies will still just stop mid combat and camera angles will stare at a wall during a conversation along with crashes.

All in all I wouldn't recommend this game unless you're a die hard history buff or you are craving a new RPG experience and are willing to sacrifice some polish and quality to get your fix.
