I am a huge fan of the Tales series. My first experience with the Tales series was actually this game's sequel Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World for wii (which I adored as a child, but I completely understand why a lot of people don't really care for it) so when I found out that the first game was on Gamecube I was ecstatic. I picked it up and originally played through to completion on the Gamecube and instantly fell in love. The characters, the story, the combat, the soundtrack, and everything else about this game was amazing. As this title came to PC I had to play through it again and everything is beautifully transferred over onto the PC platform. The music is clear and the combat isn't clunky or choppy, it's just as smooth as ever. This JRPG is a gem of its genre and anyone that is a fan of RPGs or JRPGs must have this game in their arsenal. The only problem I could find for the PC port is that I ran into occasional typos within the dialogue which included a missing space in between words or a misspelled word by one or two letters. Overall nothing major. If you are on the fence about buying ToS then I would recommend waiting for a sale, otherwise it is completely worth the original price. I personally would give this game a 8.5/10.
