This game is somewhat tricky to 100% definitively say whether or not I recommend. If we're talking about the quality of the content then the base game is definitely worth the price of admission… but if we're talking the amount of content in the game? I'd say don't even bother.

-The game looks absolutely beautiful and is.
optimized better then Borderlands 3
- The generally solid Gunplay from Borderlands 3 is back.
- The comedy in the game is for the most part a lot better then what was offered in some of the other titles.
- Better antagonist and supporting characters than Borderlands 3.

- The game is very short. Way too short for a game that is an entry into the Borderlands franchise.

- Classes have been completely replaced with your create a character, and while I appreciate the amount of customizability in the game that lets me express myself, skills and builds now have significantly less depth than they've had since Borderlands 1

- The lack of build depth killed replayability. Other Borderlands games were replayable because the character you played had a drastic effect on how you played the game, the differences between classes in this game are incredibly small and likely because they are meant to be stacked via multiclassing

- The amount of farmable legendaries in this game is abysmal, strangely not even having all the ones from Borderlands 3 (which this game is directly built on top of)

- No new game plus features akin to the older games and a frankly non-existent endgame.


If you're looking for a just plain fun and quirky ride through an insane Fantasyland from an even crazier kids head then I say go for it, you will get exactly that. But if you were big Borderlands fan like me and you're looking for the stuff that makes the games so special like build diversity, fun and numerous guns for farming, and replay value, then you will find that this game is quite lacking.

LET ME EXPLAIN! I adore trove i've been playing it before it was even on steam. Personaly I love the game... but... The game can sometimes be a little TOO grindy and once level max is hit the way you level up from then on can be a tad tedious sometimes. If you love endless grinding go ahead! For those that don't maybe this game is not the one for you.

It's Skyrim... but it just looks better, and runs better. Remind me, what was there to hate again?

You can't even get the tf2 hats anymore.

Before operation maple leaf, deticated servers, and the workshop i would have left a negitve review. At first it was hard to play, now it's hard to STOP playing! And for a game that's free (or 5$ if you want to support the devs) it's pretty good. Give Unturned a try!
