My ingame hours atm is more like 16 due to afk hours.
Im not a big fan of fighting games, other than this, brawlhalla (2k+ hours) and multiversus (380 hours).

That being said, id say i was kinda good at both of them, getting 2400k elo in brawl and winning a tournament in mvs.
I say that because even without playing a lot of fighting games, i atleast have some reference and id like to think some "knowledge" in terms of how they should feel.

Rushdown is by far the most fun and best feeling game out of the there.
I like playing mostly an aggressive style, that becomes somewhat of a problem in brawlhalla where baiting, punishing and passive play is the meta aswell as the opponent being able to wake up out of your attacks being very common, making going for anything other than a true combo very risky.
The same issue exist in multiversus, its not as passive but attacks have close to no endlag making it a spam fest aswell as wake-ups being making extensions unreasonably risky imo.

In rushdown, i feel like i actualy get rewarded for pushing my advantage, there is no cheap wake-ups or baiting afaik.
The spark mechanic is AMAZING, the whole thing allowing the game to be as rewarding as it is for aggressive play.
Spark is a mechanic where if you hit your opponent, you gain spark, when you have spark, you can cancel your attack anytime you want aswell as have, what i assume to be, 0 lag.
This allows for crazy combos where you win neutral, hit an attack, and then spark cancel into further hits and then just repeat.
Ofcourse its not as easy as it sounds, you have to read your opponents DI aswell as know what options to use when.
Its a very high octane experience playing and i love it.
Your opponent also has a shield which do not break, but it only covers towards one side which opens up a lot of ways for you to outplay their block but also for your opponent to outplay your engage.

Very little things feels cheap and cheese in this game, everytime i lose an engage, get combo'd or lose it always feels like either i missplayed or my opponent outplayed.

The movement, coming from brawlhalla and multiversus, feels a bit clunky at times. Having not played any games where you cant turn around mid-air is a bit hard to get used to, however thats just my own inexperience and has nothing to do with the game, there are also a bit of a delay to turning around on the ground, since otherwise doing back-airs would be kinda hard (i assume lol).
I am also having a hard time fastfalling when i want, due to you having to input down within a certain window rather than being able to hold down and get it as soon as you can.

Graphics wise im not a huge fan, the models are unappealing to me aswell as on some stages its extremly hard to see things in general. Theres a lot of flashy things happening on the screen, lots of colours but they are somewhat similair at times which makes it a bit hard for even just a mild colour blind person like myself lose track of things.
The menus are also a bit unappealing, things having very sharp edges and close to no outlines, but thats extremly subjective.
I would also want more from my ui, having my character specifik resorces aswell as hp at the bottom makes me have to look away from the actual gameplay, which personally im not able to do since i try to push my advantage a lot, i cant do it in the heat of things.
You can however see if you have spark or not on your nameplate, though i wish there were more clear things centered around your actual character model like hp, if you have air options, spark and character specifik resources.
Things such as spark and burst (a 1 per stock get out of jail card) are easy to keep track of, since you only get spark when you hit someone and lose it when you use it, and burst since you only get one per stock, it would still be nice to have a better image of what things you have when while still being able to look at the actual gameplay.

Another thing i miss, coming from multiversus are dedicated buttons for neutrals. You can bind every directional attack and special, however you cant do this for neutrals. You can have an option to where your grab becomes neutral air, but there is no such option for neutral special nor any for grounded neutral lights.
Ive been told that its due to balancing, since the neutral lights in this game are extremly strong and fast, but having a button for neutral special would be extremly nice aswell as not too strong i think.

The playerbase is also very small, this is my main issue with the game. Its extremly hard to get matches, even when going through the official discord. Most of the time i can only play whenever my friends are online.
This can lead to not being able to play whenever you want, since at times there can be hours before you find someone to play with, however the netcode for this game is amazing.
Its so amazing that i can in fact play with someone from Na on the east coast as a european, with only 3 frames of delay.
The game allows you to set a set ammount of frame delay when youre in a lobby, which is very good since it allows for consistency even when playing people cross region.

Overall, this game is simply amazingly fun and i encourage anyone who is interest in platform fighters to check it out and give it a fair shot.
It can be a bit hard to get into due to low playerbase aswell as if youre coming from something like brawlhalla or multiversus, the movement and mechanics are very different but it doesnt take long to get used to.

My advice for when you first try the game, play with a friend at first so you can get used to it, playing even just slightly experienced players can be really hard and might be offputting to some, there is no game where i dont mind losing as little as i do in this game however.
If you dont have a friend who wants to try it out, join the Rushdown Revolt discord, loads of people happy to see new players there and eager to teach you the ropes.

You might have read some other reviews saying something about nft's. I dont know nothing about that stuff but its was supposedly for something done on the side, not related to this game aswell as its been canceled.
Though who honestly cares about that, the game is amazing, dont let some weird oppinion on it keep you from playing this energetic and rewarding game.

1.0 RELEASE UPDATE
While ill still recommend the game, it has drasticly changed from what it was. New core gameplay mechanics have been implemented such as DP and hard-knockdown which im not a fan of aswell as other mechanics have been changed.
These changes and new mechanics arent inherintly bad, i just feel like they stray away from what drew me in when i started.
I used to LOVE this game, it was my favourite by far, whenever someone was looking for a game i was almost always ready to play. With the new changes, not so much, i still think its kinda fun, but nowhere near or even remotely close to how much fun i had in closed beta/open alpha.
Personally feel like the game got slowed down a bit, combos usually end earlier now, movement feels slippier, game is more grounded, it shifted away from the high octane gameplay i fell in love with.
It feels less impactfull doing things, i find myself ending, sometimes being forced to end, combos earlier compared to before, which leads either into a pretty limited scenario with hard-knockdown, and edgeguard situation which in this game, isnt enjoyable as either part or just back to neutral.
I used to play a lot, i got hugely better at the game, with it, i started seeing the flaws that existed however i dont feel like a lot of changes fixed those issues. I feel as if there were certain things that could have been rebalanced rather than reworked since the feel and use would remain the same, it would just be weaker but instead its now new. Some people like change, i like some of the changes, but the majority of them i dislike.
All in all, the game is still good, its just very different.
