My review has received a significant number of likes, so I want to provide more detailed solutions to the technical issues with this game.

Battlefield 3 has two major technical problems, and below I’ll outline detailed solutions for each. Start with the first solution, and if it doesn’t work, move on to the next one until your issue is resolved.

First Problem: Game Activation Issue

Error Message:
"We could not activate Battlefield 3 on this computer using the Origin Account you provided. Please locate your product key to activate the game using your Origin Account."

Solution:

1. Delete the 71067.dlf file located in the following folder:
C:\ProgramData\Electronic Arts\EA Services\License
Make sure hidden files are visible before you delete it.

2. Completely uninstall the EA Launcher, including all its folders and registry files.

3. Install Origin and its activator, F*ck_off_EA_App. This method can help many, as the EA Launcher often struggles with detecting installed games and other features like chat. For this reason, I do not recommend using the latest version of Origin.

4. Reinstall Windows. Yes, seriously. This is the only solution that worked for me after spending four days troubleshooting and trying everything else.

Bonus:
If the issue reappears, just follow Step 1 again.

Second Problem: Anti-Cheat Issue

Error Message:
"Game disconnected: you were kicked by PunkBuster."

If you get kicked from the game, don’t worry. It’s a simple fix. Just download PunkBuster from the official website and install it.

Enjoy the game, everyone! Sadly, it’s likely to have a short lifespan due to the very low online population.
