I'll be honest, this game was good but not in the sense of "another good Amnesia game."

I don't know if it's the fact that this game strayed so far from the original Amnesia style/story type or if it was because of all the hand holding, but I don't think I would play this game again. It held up to the traditional puzzle solving style similar to the previous Amnesia games, but something about this just lacked what the previous games each had.

I feel that if this game was released without the "Amnesia" title attached to it, it would have been excellent and I would have enjoyed it more. But with the title attached and part of the series, I feel it was a huge let down. There were many areas of the game in which I would have to relaunch it simply because of bugs that caused me to become trapped and rendered the game unplayable as well as certain puzzles that essentially handed you the answer after 1 failed attempt. (Notably the area in which you enter a sort of labyrinth and must find the exit, all the while avoid an enemy who is hunting you)

I would say if you have never played another Amnesia game and this is your first encounter with the franchise, by all means start with this one. It's gorgeous in terms of graphics and the soundtrack/ambiance in this one is far superior in comparison with its predecessors, but if you have played the previous games and are teetering on this one... Save your money,

Get it just to simp for Arthur Morgan

This game is absolutely amazing and the updates they're adding are just improving the game even more. Although a repetitive style of gameplay, with the right friends, it can be fun for hours on end. Highly recommend to those who want to play a "horror" game but don't appreciate the cliche jumpscares of the typical modern day horror game.

Excellent for those who want to start making short animations.
