@backpacker the vanishing thing is a bug that started happening when dota added backpack slots, before that items just weren't pickupable by other players.

I'd love to add trading and this is something that was always on the games radar, but the current dynamic doesn't support it well enough, IMO there's not enough item variety to go around and people will just get loaded with all the items they need as soon as they start.

I had plans in the works (and alot of the coding done) for more dynamic items, but it never made it into the game.

For now, the game is on hiatus as other IRL responsibilities (paying the bills) have taken their toll on my time, sorry about that!

fix or add trading. i give items gut they just vanish. If i already have copper it adds the copper after i move it. But weapons and such just vanish.
