As someone who has played multiple hack & slash ARPGs, Last Epoch really nails it when it comes to skill diversity (due to skill trees existing on each skill), as well as the faction system.

The faction system might possibly be the best thing I've seen in an ARPG. You can join one of two factions and obtain reputation to level up your passives within it, as well as favor used to purchase/unlock various things within them. You're allowed to freely swap between the Factions and you will maintain your reputation with them. However, you will lose any of the Favor you earned with them, as this is a Faction specific currency.

The first faction, Circle of Fortune, is designed to go well with the whole "Solo Self Found" concept, but imo goes beyond that. I typically prefer the ability to buy/sell good items in games, but there's something about this faction that just makes it feel more enjoyable. Some items obtained in here are locked to Circle of Fortune, and will prevent you from equipping them if you swap factions, but I think that's a great idea for balancing. Seeing more loot dropping and being able to target farm specific kinds of items make the Circle of Fortune feel very good.

The second faction, Merchant's Guild, allows you to buy and sell items on a Marketplace type system with other players. Any items purchased on here will be locked to Merchant's Guild, and will only allow you to equip them when you are a part of it. The prices don't seem too crazy, and I'm sure a lot of people enjoy the ability to obtain exactly what they are looking for with the currency they have obtained while grinding.

Yes, there are server issues going on as of 4 days after launch, and it may make people look elsewhere for a game to play. I don't think this should be a cause for the awful treatment the developers are receiving when you can EASILY go do other things in the meantime.

Remember, the devs are human too. No need to be extremely toxic and rude to others.
