Game is plenty fun, but missing the A-life that the original games had. Bugs are to be expected, however, I'm currently stuck due to a game-breaking bug where nothing renders (except HUD and inventory/PDA) and am waiting to finish off the story until I can play again. Performance isn't really that bad, so long as you have a relatively modern system. If you're setup is old, don't expect to run new games well, it's always been like this. A lot of quests require running from point A to point B 1-3km away which is incredibly boring with a lack of A-life in the game. Feels kinda like DayZ without the potential for interaction.
While I enjoy the game, I can't recommend it in it's current state for full price. Wait for some major patches or a sale. I don't think there would be much replay-ability of this game with the lack of A-life, factions are useless/meaningless, and anomalies are all static.

Edit 12/20/24: As of the new updates, I came back to give it a try since there is supposed to be some life in the zone. Sadly, the game doesn't get past compiling shaders. Considering you can't even get to the zone, now, I'd argue it's even more lifeless. Cool if you want a shader compilation sim, though.

A racing game that claims to support steering wheels where the process to get the steering wheel working is more difficult than in games that claim they don't support steering wheels. I guess if you plan to play with M+K, that'll be fine, but I can't even use the down arrow to get to settings in the main menu. Not sure how a game that has been out this long hasn't figured out keybindings or following through with their advertised wheel support. This is with a Logitech G920 WITH Logitech G Hub installed (as they say is required). Maybe one day I'll get to play instead of launching/closing the game constantly trying to get anything to work.

Early Access Review
I bought this game as it looked pretty close to a sort of VR Tarkov. I've played a decent amount of VR shooters, so figured I would fare well enough against other players online. As soon as I started, you begin in a sort of tutorial that already feels very low effort. They just kinda throw you into a room and you gotta listen to a hologram at each station walk you through the motions. To be fair, you can skip all this, most of it is very similar to other VR shooters. Now, what really turned me off was the gameplay. Don't get me wrong, shooting feels good in this game. You can effectively utilize a pistol, which is nice. However, you are so limited in how fast you move. Your arm movement gets throttled so you are basically moving in slow motion. Loading round and whatnot is incredibly awkward as I had to literally place my rift controllers INSIDE of each other through the look to make the game recognize I was placing the round in the magazine (There are a deecent amount of deadzone options, so maybe there is one for this? I didn't see one, though). Picking up items is awkward, too. Some items you pick up with your grips, some you pick up with your trigger. Why does it have to be different, it seems silly. I tend to use the same fingers to grab a magazine in real life as I do a gun, I just think the devs overcomplicated that for seemingly no reason. Also, getting stuck on walls is a pretty big problem. Granted, that happens in most VR shooters from time to time, it's worse here. This is because that arm movement is throttled, so it'll stretch your arm and you'll have to slowly watch your arms shrivel back to it's original length as if it's cold rubber. TLDR; Game feels gross.

This game is very fun, but also very much not for everyone. There is a very LARGE grind associated with this game. If you think grinding is painful early on, then you probably will not enjoy the end game grinds. Also, this game, by nature, has PVP. People whine about the PVP all day, but it's a huge part of what makes this game. Players camping is definitely a problem, but there are multiple different ways to get from point A to point B, you just need to think tactfully.
Also, people keep comparing this game to roblex, minecraft, and Escape from Tarkov. Think more Minecraft and Stalker (it's kinda in the name). They did a very good job implementing a MMO feel while keeping a good amount of the stalker lore. Anomalies WILL kill you A LOT (Hey, just like in Stalker). It's a free game, so I'd highly recommend it to everyone curious, but this game is definitely not for everyone.

Edit: Devs are scummy, not giving crate drop percentages simply because they are "not legally obligated to". They are also very much ignoring this game on NA. The game has awful timegates (of month+ long grinds) and the players have been complaining about them for a while. The dev team simply keeps saying "We need more time" time after time. They refuse to take any community suggestions on this issue for the reason that they assume no one in their community has the experience needed to make a useful suggestion given resources. Seriously? The game is dying because of this. Find a different game to sink time into.

This game is absolutely unplayable. You will play this game, and people will come and attack you! You could be minding your own business hauling a metric ♥♥♥♥-ton of gold to the nearest outpost upon completing a fort, and out of nowhere, people will attack you LIKE PIRATES! This is not what I signed up for. I will not be playing this until the devs remove pirates from this pirate game.

After having used this controller for a little over a week now, I must say that I am very pleased with it. I was a little on the fence about this purchase after reading the negative reviews, however, it is exactly what I was looking for. I do not believe this will be for everyone, and that's because it definitely takes some getting used to. However, if you have the time and patience to fine tune the vast amount of settings available with this controller, it is very much worth the money. The touchpads are extremely accurate and contrary to what a good handful of reviews say, I find that this controller fits pretty comfortably in my hands. If you are a big fan of a mouse and are looking for a way to play games from bed or the couch, I would definitely recommend this product. However, if you are a fan of the classic controllers and are just curious about trying this out, I may recommend that you watch a few more videos on the controller as it may not be what you want.
