Skyrim is a massive single player role playing game with lots of quests to do and locations to discover. Along with the main story there are four guilds to join and a civil war where you can decide the winner. The main/dragon story follows the traditional elder scrolls story of high fantasy and adventure. The Mages Guild has a solid story but magic has become more of a science, The Thieves Guild starts strong but becomes very grindey, the assassins guild starts out very slow but then quickly picks up and the companions/fighters guild takes a very strange turn and make them feel more like a group of thugs than a guild and has a weird twist that comes out of nowhere. The Civil War has a lot of build-up to it however the world feels like you aren’t supposed to pick a winner. After the war half the cities have most of the NPCs replaced with dry new characters and the actual war amounts to fighting random soldiers in a fort a few times and taking over a couple cities.
The biggest problem I had with this game is all the bugs, and this is supposed to be a remastering of the original. I constantly saw NPC phasing through objects, items fly across the room for no reason, random creatures spawning in locations they don’t belong and more. While they aren’t that bad at first, they can become very annoying.
