The Best game I've ever played. The storyline is great and outstanding. The sidequests set the standard for every RPG that comes out in the future. The characters are so deep and interesting that I've immediately started to reed the book after finishing this game. The value of replayability is high as well. Every choice you make, in a dialoge has impact, immediat or long-term. Most of the quests are packed with tough moral choices and will result in endings you sometimes can't even imagine. The variety of monsters is pretty good too. There are a lot of different beasts to hunt and kill. In addition to that the whole world feels like its living by its own. Every person has its own daily routine and goes after his/her profession. Also, the world is stuffed with things to explore, caves or monster nests for example. You will also gain a lot of cool and nice looking stuff along the way, like new witcher Armor or swords. On The high difficulties you will also need to make good use of your potions and oils to kill the Monsters, that you have a contract on.

The negatives that I found were the combat system and also the money managment. The combat gets repitive and feels less exciting every time you battle. Furthermore the money you will get gets inballenced too. At some point, if you do every quest there is, you will have enough money to afford everything you want, which really doesn't go with the natural of a witcher. Also the character evolution is quite slow. Most of the times, when you gain a skill point you will only change some percentages on a sign or a sword attack. That doesn't give you the feeling of character evolution that it should do.

All in all the positives are too big and vanish the bad aspects away really easily. It has a great story, characters and the quest design is outstandingly done. Its the best game I've ever experienced and it's a must buy.
