Cool indie game, in which you evolve from a tiny asteroid into a massive star - and beyond.

Intuitive gameplay will simple controls, yet quite challenging if you decide you want to achieve some of the tougher goals.

Allows "free roam" play as well as "quest chasing".

Family friendly.

Already Trine 1 was a very enjoyable game, despite its limited budget which resulted in minimal variety of the enemies and rushed final boss level. But Trine 2 expands and improves on virtually all the aspects -- allowing network play (which is hilariously fun), or having cool pantheon of enemies which seem to cooperate in their slightly retarded, orcish ways (there's something hugely satisfying about seeing an orc spear thrower impale his fellow orc who happened to jump in the path of the thrown weapon). Other improvements include new physics gameplay elements (using buoyancy, air pressure and ballance scales), possibility to respec your skills at any point, and the much needed Save feature (you can now resume your game exactly where you left off, no more having to replay whole level which can be 40 minutes long).

Trine 2 is a masterpiece, and at a very affordable price. Highly recommended!

Truly wonderful puzzle game. The beauty of this game comes from the fact that you're solving the puzzles indirectly -- by guiding the gorgeous "Flurries" (as I call them) around the levels, you make them solve the puzzles for you. Very innovative, requires quite different style of thinking.

Half-Life 2 is a multi award winning sequel to the multi award winning game Half-Life (1998). Just like HL1 showed the way to movie-like experience in 1998, HL2 raises the bar even further with physics gameplay (using velocity, buoyancy or weight to affect the world around you) and amazingly lively scripted sequences to further enhance the well paced action experience.

As the game progresses, you discover more and more of this dystopian future Earth (the game takes place somewhen between 2020 and 2030) -- you see that Earth's seas lost about 10 meters of their level, you see ruined cities and completely broken spirit of humans. And as "The one Free man", you ignite a revolution, free prisoners and start throwing down the oppresive extra-terrestrial conquerors.

Due to the significance of this game on the First person shooter and due to its basically flawless execution, I strongly recommend this game to anyone who plays 1st person shooters. I also recommend the (so far) 2 sequels.

Amazing puzzle game with sweet graphics and innovative challenges. Great game for all lovers of physics puzzles.

Peggle games (Peggle Deluxe and Peggle Nights) are both awesome casual games with so much replay value it's amazing. For a low price you get a game not only with 50+ normal levels, but also the same number of challenges which truly separate the masters from the losers. The mouse-only controls are accessible to everyone, the visuals are sweet and clear, and level design is pleasing to the eye and supports the gameplay.

All in all, this is a game I can clearly recommend to everyone. Your children will once want to play this as well!

Loved Lemmings? Loved The Incredible Machine? Loved Bridge Builder games?

If yes, then World of Goo is the logic-and-skill game for you.

There's approx. 50 levels with about 10 different types of goo balls -- some form ropes, others are flammable or explosive, yet other can be detached and re-attached later.

You can skip up to 6 levels if you get stuck, which prevents the infamous problem of blocking off entire sections of a game due to too hard a level.

The storyline in the game, albeit entirely unnecessary, is actually very funny and if you follow it through all the signs and messages, you may get a few laughs as well.

But keep in mind that sometimes you'll need quick reflexes besides a working brain - this is NOT chess.

One of the best Tower Defense games in existence. A must have for all TD lovers.

Some cool things about this:
1. Awesome accelerated graphics.
2. 10 unique tower types, each with weaknesses and strengths, and 2 additional upgrades.
3. Option to place towers into enemy paths, thus forcing them to take a detour (towers are indestructible).
4. Protection of power cores which can be stolen by enemies and retrieved -- but if an airborne enemy steals a core, it's lost forever!
5. Each level features standard story mode, and then additional challenges (such as "Win this map with only level 1 towers" or "Start with 20 000 credits and no additional income")
6. Great voice actor for the "A.I." which you help protect.
7. Amazingly constructed 3D maps.

In a world full of security cameras, you take control of Faith, a roof-top runner. Climbing, jumping, sliding over ledges, pipes and billboards, making use of anything that the untrained eye would not even notice, you make your way to whatever destination you need while avoiding detection.

Mirror's Edge is not an easy game to get into. You will frequently need many tries to pass a certain section between checkpoints. Often, there's only one "good" way through, and it may take a while to discover it, learn it and perform it.

But the overall experience is rewarding and you will probably not regret trying this interesting variation of the typical "First-Person Shooter".

Dragon Age:Origins is a really great game from the makers of Baldur's Gate. It has low admittance treshold, which means you should be able to get into the game easily and learn the controls "as you play"; the controls were actually simplified so that you can think about what you want to do and let the game worry about how to do it.

While some promises of the authors are not entirely fullfilled, such as the option to set up ambushes (this does not really work), the game is very entertaining and full of amazing moments. It is also possible to play the game either "economically" (just going through the main storyline), or in a treasure-hunter's way (searching for many of the additional quests and treasures, trying to talk to many side characters etc.).

The option to select difficulty makes the game finishable to anyone and yet challenging to hardcore gamers.
