Short and sweet review, fantastic piece of work. I'm honestly thrilled at the Fortress of Doom, it's a gift from id I never knew I needed. Feels like a direct improvement on 2016 DOOM and honestly they had a finely cut gem there too.

I see a lot of complaints about the NEON hud, I don't think it's that bright and flashy. I have a large display so I personally am not affected by this "clutter". The sounds are all very powerful, the Cacodemon eye glory kill might be a little bit too "kiddish" but I don't mind it. I could see myself buying the first year pass, id really put some good work into this.

Be Me, Gordon Freeman. Not my first day on the job. Working in Anomalous Materials, trigger a Resonance Cascade. Nearly kill everybody in this facility. Military is called, they die too. No big deal.
Stepping into an elevator, working in the Blast Silos, trying to get this alien thing out of my way, I decide to look at my phone to lull out this long elevator ride.
The elevator crashes, plunging me into a vat of toxic waste, unable to swim my way out in time before the radiation and lack of oxygen kill me.
Don't use your phone at the workplace. It can cost you your life.
