This group is dedicated to those that steal mods.
And upload them to the workshop without permission.
You see a mod that has been stolen and its someone elses.
Please post a link to the mod here and a link to there profile also.
Then when you post the links, you or us can invite the original creator here.
In which they will be informed of there stolen mods so they take action.
You must be certain that you think the mod was stolen.
And can also provide a link to another webpage for proof.
We must stop these idiots that steal mods and credit themselves.
And we dont care if the mod is 3 years old, you still need permission.
Steam will delete the mods and ban them from the workshop.
Lets clean up the scum of these mod stealers for good.

Hopefully this goes out for real this time.

Recently we've had two users join the group and make flame posts in the general comments. One of those users has been banned, the other has had their comments deleted.

In light of this, I have appointed tu stultus es and Ryan as group moderators. They have the power to delete comments and kick people from the as yet unused group chat. I reserve the ability to ban, but if things become problematic beyond what I can respond to in a reasonable amount of time, that may change.

Hopefully this will help reduce any future attempts at fighting in the case I don't respond to it quickly enough. If there are any concerns, questions or general comments, let me know.

I realize there hasn't been a lot of activity on this page, and that's mostly due to me being lazy. I want to use this group as a method for people to post links and evidence pertaining to stolen or suspect mods, and I'm unsure how to move forward with that, in both format and conduct.

Any ideas or feedback regarding this matter would be welcome.
There may be a post about group moderation positions coming afterwards.

Unfortunately, due to the increase in trolling and general harrassment in the group, which our moderators have done well to keep removed from my view, I've made the group invite only.

Any current member can invite someone, I would hope you guys are trustworthy enough to not invite trolls.

Platinum: Workshop has rules. To be specific:
In particular, with respect to Workshop Contributions, you represent and warrant that the Workshop Contribution was originally created by you (or, with respect to a Workshop Contribution to which others contributed besides you, by you and the other contributors, and in such case that you have the right to submit such Workshop Contribution on behalf of those other contributors).

Now, K1CHWA says you used his normals and custom texture work. They are his creations, and his intellectual property. He has explicitly stated that he does not allow other people to re-use them without his say so.
If that's true, and I trust his word, you are violating the "represent and warrant... that you have the right to submit such Workshop Contribution on behalf of those other contributors." That is reportable, that is theft. Just because it's free and available does not mean it's fair game.

thank you workshop cops.....thanx for keeping originality alive.
platinum's (and some of tyrant5's) stolen content has finally been removed from the workshop.
this proves modders can band together (in sufficient numbers) to stamp out content theft and be successful.
alas,we must remain vigilant...as several of my modding peers are still in need of help.
