At a glance, "Frenzy" may seem like a stupid skill, but really all you are doing is spending some points to make "Berserker" usable at all times. This means you will have an added 100% damage to your shotguns at all times, and an additional 250% damage to your melee weapons.

FYI
You gain a total extra 205% damage with your ranged weapons.
