It has been a few years, I know. But things have gradually improved with the stability and support for Contagion. All things considered, I have decided to open ONE CDS server to experiment with returning to play more frequently as friends. I've only purchased the server so far, installed SourceMod/MetaMod, etc. It will take some time to test and run scripts, set up admins, etc. But I wanted to give you all a heads-up. Please stay tuned.

It will be sporadically available and will certainly improve over the next few weeks.

A temporary Monclair-only server has taken the place of our Extraction server. Again, this is temporary so people can play and enjoy the new map without interruption.

Montclair has also been added to our rotating ESCAPE, HUNTED, and DEATHRUN servers.

The Hunted version, set at night, is actually pretty fun. I think it's a great balanced Hunted map.

And I dare you to play that ♥♥♥♥ on DEATHRUN. Muahahaha!

Our servers' stock banning systems have now been replaced by a much more powerful database-enabled ban system, customized to work with Contagion and our servers.

What this means: Bans, both temporary and permanent will apply accross every server in our community, instantly. Same goes for un-bans, obviously.

This will be a much more effective means of keeping track of our problem players than what we've been using. So enjoy the peace at last!

Hello all,
As Monochrome's DLC moves closer to release, I've begun a complete overhaul of our servers' play settings. And I'd like your help to determine what Contagion Death Squad members would prefer when it comes to our custom standards.

Changes already planned are as follows:

1) Adjusted weapons scripts. Rebalancing of weapon strength/spread/etc. to better match difficulty settings. Plan to retain extended magazines in select weapons.

2) Adjusted infection time. Plan is to reduce time to virtually instant changeover.

3) Server messaging system. Plan to add more helpful messages as opposed to endless joke comments.

4) Added door strength. Doors will be strengthened to allow a small amount of delay between survivors and charging zombies. Plan is to allow 3-4 player zombie strikes to bring down a door.

5) Considering reducing team damage to allow 2 or more direct shots before death results. Still not quite sure how this should be best handled. We enjoy the extra difficulty of high team damage rates, but when coupled with our merciless anti-TK system, too many innocent players are being one-hour banned which is affecting our replay numbers. Increasing damage allowed would reduce accidental TKs, and if we leave our anti-TK system in place it should still control blatant team killing.

6) Server Maps.
Plan is to have the following available:
1 Escape Server with All maps rotating.
1 Hunted Server with All maps rotating.
1 Extraction Server with All maps rotating.
1 Flatline Server with All maps rotating.
1 Panic Classic Server with All maps rotating.
1 Custom Map Server currently running Highschool of the Zed.

Ok, so will all that said, what have I missed? Have I gotten something wrong? What do you all think? I'd like suggestions I have neglected to consider, as well as ones concerning the list above. Please let me know your opinions. I rely on you all because I've made these server for you and your say matters very much to me. Feel free to comment here as much as you like!
