Due to falling membership numbers there have been a couple changes that are going to be taking place.

Firstly, we will be doing away with our Teamspeak server in favor of the free Discord server. I have already deleted the majority of channels in the Teamspeak with a message to download discord. Next, in the coming weeks or so, we will be moving away from the website/forums as they do not seem to be getting much traffic lately. Instead, we'll be focusing mainly on our Facebook page. Their will be two pages. One that is public, a second that is a private for members only page. We will maintain the www.badasswankers.com domain name should we decide to open back up in the future.

Lately, as of now (mainly due to lack of interest/funds) BAW will not be hosting a server of any type in the near future. The way that the gaming industry has changed is different from when BAW was first founded over 10 years ago. The changes are such that in our current state it's just not feasible to host private servers. The monthly/yearly cost are such that we'd require a bigger commitment from the BAW community than we feel we will not get. Take for instance a Battlefield 1 server. We would need a dedicated group of individuals to tech and seed the server daily as well as promote our clan and push pubs to join. No one has expressed interest in this area and honestly our techs are tired of maintaining resources that aren't being used.

As for what is left in the PayPal account. For now it will sit where it is until everything is finalized and such, after which the remainder will most likely be donated in RJB's name to the ALS foundation.

SO, all that being said. We can bounce back from this. If you're playing a game, and meet some cool people... invite them to our comms to hang out... We use to be very good about doing this then people just quit doing it... To get an instant invite link, right click the channel you're in, click instant invite, then the clickboard next to the twitter symbol. This will copy a link that you can paste to people you want to invite.

We are exploring the idea of starting up a BF1 server when it comes out. Details are still in the works. We do know that we will be running all expansion packs that come out. Please go here for more info and to post your opinions.
