it appears we have resolved the food spoilage issue and now we're at 150x times the normal food spoilage rate. Remember that dino's also eat 1/4 of the time they used to, but tame 4x as effectively. i.e. time to tame hasn't changed.


I've fed a bunch of places but please check on your own stuff as I cannot guarantee every trough is filled (or found....)

If I have not fed it, your dinos are DYING as there is no meat from normal spoilage having happened.

The carrier has unexpected maintenance being performedf tonight. No ETA but they are aware of the issue and everyone is affected. Check-in later, just in case they change the IP again......

There are two ways to find our server if nobody else is on. Please read this in full so that you can find it without fail. If you don't follow each step, you may have to start over.

The people at our hosting company repeatedly change our IP address of our server which prevents your favorites from showing. Also, the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ search filter doesn't work half the time.

If a person is already on ARK, you can:

Start ARK
Select JOIN
Select the FRIENDS dropdown filter in the lower-left
The server will appear
Highlight/Select the server (1-Click)
Then select FAVORITE at the bottom center. Repeat this specific step like 3 times to be sure.
Change the FAVORITES dropdown filter in the lower-left to ensure the server appears. Enjoy.

If NOBODY is on, I will be continually posting IP changes for the server, and you will need to manually add the server to your favorites list in STEAM, not ARK. ARK saves your ARK server favorites within your STEAM configuration. Here we go:

Open Steam so that you can see all your games and ♥♥♥♥ you bought that you never play.

Select VIEW at the top (next to Steam/View/Friends/Games/Help)
Select SERVERS
Click ADD A SERVER in the lower-right hand side of that dialog. It's a button.
Enter in the posted (by me) server info. In this case, today it's

192.99.200.14:17915

Select ADD THIS TO FAVORITES

Go ahead and close the FAVORITES window in steam.

Start ARK.

It should now appear once you select the FAVORITES dropdown filter in the lower-left hand corner. What you have done is add the server IP and port to the STEAM favorites list that ARK uses to find your server. It may take some time for Steam to realize it has a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ server configured. Keep in mind if you add servers going forward, be sure to remove old ones. This thing is a piece of ♥♥♥♥.

If you hit REFRESH in the server config in STEAM, it should show Nightvale, etc. at some point. I will always pre-verify the IP/Port before posting, as well as if the server is online. If you cannot connect to the server, return to the group page to see if the IP has changed. I'm sorry it works this way.

If this doesn't make sense, call Adam at any time.

Looks like the patch is inbound. Yet to be truly confirmed but notes say it is. Please be in a safe spot prior to 8:30PM. Patch should take about 20 minutes or so to complete. I'll comment to this post once it is.

We are now being hosted out of Dallas. Much better so far. We'll see as it's part of the same company which might have some related issues.

To find ARK:

1. Search for UNOFFICIAL SERVERS
2. Ensure PASSWORD PROTECTED is CHECKED
3. Search Criteria: "Nightvale" without quotes, and case-sensitive.
4. It will come up after a bit.
5. Select it ONCE with left-click.
6. Select the FAVORITE button to add to your favorites.
7. Join it.
