The Group for Finding Nostalgia in VR.

Feeling the opinion that VR is best suited to colorful or nostalgic titles, I created this group so I can make a curator that helps people find games reminiscent of the early 00's and before, even if it's not 100% exact to it. This group is as much for me as it is for everyone else, I just wanted to create a curator that maybe helps spotlight a few arcade-y games or games reminiscent of early 7th gen and below made for Virtual Reality. Suggestions will not always be what everyone considers "Nostalgic" and there will be a few stretches to accomodate a few games that may or may not belong here, but hopefully this curator provides a service I was looking for myself.

Everyone is free to contribute, just remember to be honest and make your curations "Informational", it's not a review curator, it's just to help people find things like that are like other things or nostalgic; For example:

"Ultrawings is kinda like Pilotwings 64"

Or "Doom 3 BFG Edition: Has a VR mod called Fully Possessed".

On a side note, I appreciate each and every developer that has been kicking their games towards my curator's way, I'm not an official publication but rather a dude doing this as a hobby in their free time so you are all appreciated and it has been an honor for my relatively small group to be trusted with your games that you likely worked very hard on.

If your game is not being put on the curator after I accept it, it's because I either haven't been able to get around to playing it yet or it doesn't fit on this curator's goal, which doesn't always necessarily mean it's a bad game, it just means that it's not what this curator is looking for.

WACCA Arcade Machine Port for VR

I'm a game preservation enthusiast, so the moment I found out about this I knew I had to put it here. The catch is, you have to source your own gamefiles for this, and there's a bit of a set up involved.

This will lack the tactile feel of an actual WACCA cab, and a full english translation is far off into the future if it will exist at all, but I'd rather have this than nothing at all. My local Round1 arcade is cycling these machines out of the location, so this may be the only way one can even play WACCA in the future, unfortunately.

It's a shame that these companies don't just release stuff like this in an easily accessible fashion, there are passionate people who will keep these machines alive even if they have to do hacky VR stuff like this. In any case, I'm putting this here for posterity.

There's a discord server that covers fan made VR ports of existing games, and presently they have a page up listing all the sales for stuff that has a VR mod right now.

This discord is how I usually find out about new games that have VR mods to put this on this curator, and I don't necessarily cover all of them because I don't own all of them even though I try to.

However, since I'm just a one man hobbyist on this curator making it impossible even to cover everything I want to cover either through reasons relating to motivation or time, I recommend joining the discord to find out about things faster than you'll probably even find out about them here.
