Hey everyone! We're off to a good start so far. It was nice seeing some new members last Friday, and I'd like to see even more this coming Friday! If you haven't joined on VU Groups, please do that now! We'd like to send you all email notifications for meetings and other important business. Speaking of which, after this next meeting, I am going to organize a survey for games you would like to see us purchase for the group, which will be sent out through VU Groups. So don't forget to join on VU Groups, check your inboxes, and come out to have some fun this Friday!

Our Trip To Drexel

In case anyone actually decides to read this thing, here is a little bit of news for all of you VEEC geeks. Your fearless leader and I returned somewhat victorious from our exploits at Drexel University. In case anyone didn't know, Drexel's IEEE chapter extended an invitation to us to participate in their Super Smash Brother's Brawl tournament on Friday night. We had an excellent time, making new friends and learning the trials and tribulations of running a tournament. After getting our back-ends handed to us by the great Moomoo and company in the singles tournament, Luis and I found success in the doubles tournament. After fighting through the roughest and toughest fighters straight outta the Salty Spittoon (Will D. Cat and Squidward were quite a matchup), we made it to the finals. Unfortunately we didn't win, but what we lost in Brawl, we gained in knowledge of how to run a tournament. To make a long story short, we made some great connections within the Drexel IEEE chapter, learned about the strengths of a good Smash Bros. tournament, and will eventually have a similar event this spring. I think I saw you guys at the open house at the library and I had a lot of fun and I am really interested in joining. Could you guys send me a message with more details? That would be awesome.
