Dear Friends,

Fears many old friends have misunderstood us and hence feels the need to clarify ourselves here.

Our strength is 100% development and not marketing. Ours is a struggling Indie studio, and never boasted that we have the best marketing team. In fact we couldn't even promote the game to steam review magazines/curators properly till date. Trying to learn marketing these days. When an "Indie game developer" tries to market game for the first time there will be lots of mistakes - and we corrected/fine tuned each promo based on audience inputs.

From the day one we had been misunderstood, Please let me clarify

1. "Fake reviews" - we never wrote own reviews, this is 100% "wrong" . Please see that even the person who made this first allegation deleted his lines when he understood he was totally wrong, but the harm was done - spread to thousand others. Please always read "audience/victim response" too before jumping into conclusions.

2. "Posting fake discount". Another misunderstanding, again couldn't correct ourselves in reddit. We actually reduced the price from 10$ to 6$ on June 13th and notified it as 40% discount reduction in graphic. However as per steam rules we must never add price in graphic and we removed that. Again it was not fake, we made the 40% permanent discount to get into more steam audience - you are actually getting a 10$ game for 6$ now.

3. Spamming - In yesterdays every Indie developer has to promote game "himself" to get it greenlight. Again any promotional post can be considered as spam (by all other than developer). Again believes new steam "official review" resolves this "Developer spam" issue forever.

4. Promo fan crew keys - We are beginners in steam & marketing, so just followed a successful HOG "gamasutra greenlight story" and the steam group header.

And we were warned by steam friends few days later - we deleted the promo on Dec 4th. But a promise is a promise and hence we gave free keys to all crew fans who supported us.

5. Vote boosting - This is true. Studio was in the verge of closure due to financial crisis, we somehow wanted to get it greenlight for last Xmas. And every day we got at least half a dozen promo mails which says they will boost the game to greenlight against keys to admins. As a beginner we felt this as the only way to get into steam gamers. We thought getting into top 100 will make it greenlight somehow.
We considered it as a competition, but understood we were totally wrong when we had to wait even after we reached #1.
But again please watch the audience comments, we got over thousand!

Consider "greenlight vote race" as ignorance of a baby learning to walk over steam. We only later understood that even deleting negative profile comments was wrong as per "steam unofficial community rules". As a beginner who joined steam on Nov last week for getting greenlight we learned the system pretty late. Also was 100% focused on completing/launching the game till Mar 8, so never got much time for clarifications.
