If all goes well server will be back up and running on the new box well before then.

DNS changes will also occur so you may need to do another search in your steam game browser for games listed under ‘games .stellarwhims.com’ the IP of the new box is 74.91.113.38.

So this weekend certainly was an adventure.

To sum it up we had major performance issues due to cpu usage spiking to 60 percent. To combat this I have decided to throw more bucks a month at the problem and see how the best server my GSP has to offer will work out.

This will still be a central time zone server but I am also going to leverage the bandwidth robustness of the Chicago area. ping / latency should differ very little.

In addition if this works out, the new hardware will allow me to run two space engineers servers with less fear of capping out the processor and i am going to experiment with the economy mod sharing money from both servers activities.

This way your economy mod profits should carry over from one server to the other after a reboot.

the reason for this is because i would like to host roughly 32 players as a personal goal. this seems the only way to do this with any sort of stability and keep a sizeable community.

This will also allow me to configure a second custom made star system to provide some variance. I hope you all will support my efforts to provide you with an enojoyable gaming experience.
