Henry Thia (Chinese: 程旭辉; pinyin: Chéng Xùhuī, born 25 February 1952) is a Singaporean actor, commedian, and known to his many fans as 'The Lord and Saviour'.

Thia was a member of the main cast of Comedy Nite throughout its run. Although he had many roles in various sketches, his most memorable role is probably Lion King in the sketch series Liang XiMei.

He made a transition to English television in 2004, where he played the recurring role of Georgie Gan in Police & Thief.

Thia is also known to the public for his strikingly similar looks to Singaporean politician Khaw Boon Wan, a fact he often acknowledges by jokingly referring to Khaw as his twin.

In a recent Run Rachel Run Interview, Lord and saviour Henry Thia and Roy Li has stated that they believe their music video can surpass Mr Unbelievable.

Our redeemer Henry Thia will be rapping in the music video. In the interview, the Lord has said that following a choreographed dance is significantly more challenging that just dancing freely, a nod to his almighty multi-talented personality.

We certainly believe in our Lord and his rapping prowess. As a man of many aptitudes, Henry's saving grace will certainly outperform Mr Unbelievable.

For a movie that is titled Young & Fabulous, it is actually the older actors here who make any sort of impression.

Veterans Quan Yi Fong and Henry Thia, in particular, steal every scene they are in, delivering both the laughs and the emotions in the family drama.

They play parents who want only the best for their children, although that creates plenty of friction in their respective households, as their kids have different aspirations in life.

It is a hackneyed premise, but Quan and Thia nonetheless manage to make the family dynamics believable.

Quan is the tiger mum who kills her elder son's dream of becoming a fashion designer, believing that there is no future in the field. Thia is a karung guni man struggling with money problems and is baffled as to why his son (Joshua Tan) would freely spend hundreds of dollars on his cosplay hobby.

It is no spoiler to say that everything somehow works out in the end, but the family conflicts are at least more relatable than the film's ridiculous student drama.

Most of the young stars, save Channel 8 hunk Aloysius Pang, are hammy and over-the-top, and not in an endearing way.

These pretty young things are telegenic and have huge fanbases for the producers to cash in on, but that will not hide the fact that they have little else to offer here, as opposed to our Lord and Saviour's glorious parts in the picture.
