ABOUT Guildless Mercs

Welcome to the message boards, Merc. Here you'll be able to post about games and related jobs.

We are Mercs, Outlaws, Vagabonds, "Entrepreneurs" of the digital ways. We go where the money is and offer our services to those willing to pay the most. There is no server, no centralized hub, no place to call home 'cept wherever you are while you're in a game.

Utilizing these message boards is more like a centralized job-board for both yourself and other members. Post jobs, take jobs. And if you know about an up-coming event related to an associated game, it would be bennificial to have access to any specifics and necessary details; this way the word can get out and your fellow Mercs can choose to either join or pass.

Again, so there's no confusion, this ain't no "Guild". We ain't gonna hold your hand and carry you through your quests/adventure... unless we know there's gonna be cold-hard-cash in it for us.

Notes:
1) You will be the only person in-charge of guaranteeing payment for your services, it's not our fault if you can't settle on some arrangement with your client(s).
1.a) Don't expect anyone else to care if things go south for you on a job.
1.b) Try not to take your anger out on the client(s), it's bad for business.

2) As a member of this group you will be expected to do what you do best: shoot, frag, run, fight, dodge, and or win... sometimes in that order.
2.a) It'll be up to you if you want to utilize other member's skillsets to aid in the completion of a job.
2.b) Don't let avarice a factor in any decision.

3) Never undersell yourself or your talents as a Merc. It sets a bad example for yourself as "easy" or "cheap" and it gives future clients the idea that this is charity.
3.a) Should that happen, it's your own fault if a fellow Merc feels the need to "take action" to see that he/she gets what they deserve for working with said client (either on the job or in future jobs where said merc was undercut).

All that aside, welcome, and happy hunting.
