Game runs at 1000fps. Using 100% GPU, wasting energy. Any option for Vsync or framerate cap?

I've met the requirements for several of the achievements and they aren't unlocking. Has anyone else had a problem with the achievements not unlocking?

you have a Healthbar and Lifes (Hearts). but when you die you have to restart your Level...? and activate all Reactors AGAIN...? WHY? If I die, I lose a life - BUT I should spawn at the position I died, and the Reactors I already activated should stay activated ! otherwise I would not even need the "Lives", right?!? ...
