For fans of the original show, this is a must-play. Feels like an arcade game of the era. Variety was fun and I appreciated the Space Harrier style sections. Megazord was a blast. Was giving Goemon iykyk. lol.

Where the game struggles is honestly the unfavorable comparisons to Shredder's Revenge. Rita's Rewind borrows heavily from early Konami beat-em-ups like X-Men or the original TMNT which would be fine if Shredder's Revenge hadn't come out and more or less already been a revamp of a similar beat-em-up style. I would say RR is more faithful to the style while SR is more new school. Both are great and I think people are beating up on this game unfairly as the exciting set pieces and level variety here in RR is excellent.

Combos can get funky too. Like most beat-em-ups you have a rush combo which can be cancelled into jump, uppercut, or roll. With roll being cancellable into dash attack and dash attack being cancellable into uppercut (which can then be linked to dive kick) you can do some extended juggles as there doesn't seem to be a hard limit on juggle potential.

I can't speak to the online experience as I played it by myself, but boss patterns were fun, the enemy selection was fantastic, and the variety and set pieces were hype. Look forward to breaking it out when I have a group of people to play with.

The biggest and worst CON to this game is that online co-op will NOT save your progress (this is stated nowhere in the game).
ruined it for me and a friend i was going to play through this game with.

Single player will save progress fine, and is an ok game so far, but i cannot recommend this when the fun of games like these is playing with your friends, at which point you literally waste your time.

Very overpriced SNES game for $35. I didn't think controls were as "clunky" as other reviewers said, but basic attacks are pretty limited for a 2024 game. Refunding and will probably re-buy when it's under $10.00.
