There is an achievement where you have to complete this game without continues, but that is confirmed impossible by the developers. Nobody worldwide has that achievement. I never lie, I swear.

When games do not allow you to have increased lives or continues, then it's confirmed impossible to complete. Even Edelweiss, that stupid game company knows not how to make games right.

Okay, so that wasn't so stealthily done, but Ether Vapor Remaster now has spanking new achievements! Update your build & perhaps reset your client for the achievements to be yours! Enjoy!

I was able to get the game to function properly with none of the visual glitches on steam deck recently. Its actually fixed by injecting a dll file via protontricks (d3dx9_43.dll) into the game directory. You can get the proton tricks app from the discovery store, run it, choose ev remaster and use the install dll option for d3dx9_43.dll. the text and graphic glitches are all fixed after that works fine so far...
