The fog-laden streets of Silent Hill are rendered in breathtaking detail, supporting up to 4K graphics to create an immersive atmosphere that feels both familiar and fresh. The environments are meticulously designed, filled with intricate details and objects that capture the eerie essence of the original. The gameplay has been updated to reflect modern standards, replacing the fixed camera angles with a third-person perspective. This change allows for more fluid movement but sacrifices some of the tension created by the original’s camera work. While some players may miss those iconic angles, the new system introduces clever enemy AI mechanics that maintain suspense through darkness and surprise encounters.

I can't believe how good this remake is. I almost cried when I saw the first sequences. Surprisingly, Bloober team left untouched the best aspects of the og and improved what had to be improved. The game looks fantastic and sounds horifying. The battles are super intense. I think SH2R is the best entry point to the series. We finally got a good Silent Hill game again. We are so home, brothers and sisters.

A no-spoiler review for a title that needs no introduction - Silent Hill 2 is quite possibly the best horror game of all time. The classic survives the test of time to this day and this remake only improves upon it. I highly recommend it if you're looking for an excellent psychological horror that will stick with you for years.

This game and it's story is amazing and the atmosphere is incredible. But, there is one huge flaw with this game on PC; IT IS BROKEN AND IT TAKES A SUPER COMPUTER TO RUN THE DAMN THING PROPERLY. THIS GAME HAS TERRIBLE OPTIMIZATION AND IT HONESTLY LOOKS WORSE THAN RESIDENT EVIL 4 REMAKE, OH THE STUTTERING IS THE WORST I HAVE EVER SEEN. Maybe it is my fault to try to run this game on an RX 6600 and 5600x which achieved 85 fps in the resident evil 4 remake on maxed out graphics 1440p with FSR 2 quality no ray tracing. This game should have just been made in Unreal Engine 4 it would have looked the same and performed 8x better. I ended up returning the game and buying the PS5 version which is not actually broken, you dont have to fight the game to get it to not crash and runs smoothly for the most part.

As much as I would love to give this game a thumbs up, with the current state of the game it honestly doesn't deserve it. If your game has a bug that prevents people from even opening the game, you need to be on top of it asap. If you are wanting to buy and play this game now, please wait until the devs decide to fix it.

I could not launch the game. It crashed repeatedly on startup, and the most I could get was a few minutes of a blank purple screen before it crashed

This game, is beyond amazing. it's Konami's Masterpiece. Story , The Lore , Gameplay , effect and visual all things are perfect. only thing i complain about is Optimizing. my Rating for this game's story and... is 10/10 but for the optimization is 10/5.
It's a shame that new games don't spend time on optimization and instead try to gloss over the issues of speed, fps, and graphics with DLSS and FSR.

Absolutely, superb remake of the original. The atmosphere is utterly amazing. If you wear some good noise canceling headphones you will be totally and utterly immersed in the game.

This game I would say is better suited for a controller. But I have had 0 issues playing It with a mouse and keyboard.

The sound effects, music and overall audio is perfectly done.

The story, writing and voice acting is amazing. The graphics, characters and weapons are phenomenal.

This is honestly an almost perfect game.

Worth full price. Without a doubt, in my mind.
