Solid story extension following the end of FEAR. More of the same quality action sequences and enemy AI.

Has to be tweaked more, because the resolution is bad (also has the fps issue) and it is not an easy task.

This dlc is an improvement to the first game in every aspect (except for length and one stupid bug or whatever it is).

Cant pick up mines anymore for some reason.

Spoiler: This dlc delves more into the story aspect of the game (first part was more so a shooter, rather than story. Dont get me wrong, first part was good, but this dlc is a noticable improvement in so far every aspect, noticably the story and relationship between the MC and Alma (except for not being able to pick up your mines for some reason)) and the problem with that is, your MC doesnt talk, doesnt choose, he basically is a murder-robot you control. He can only shoot and move. That makes you want more, because the story is nice and interesting or at least has the potential for that. The dlc gives you this desire for communication between characters, most wanted being MC and Alma. Alma is trying to hug you, but her touch is deadly, which she doesnt seem to understand (at least she stops the attempts at half way into the game). She also is actively helping you, clearing out the way, killing enemies and NOT killing you, even though you are in an organisation that is directly responsible for her pain, suffering, destruction of a whole city and bunch of other bad stuff, I think. At least your organisation is helping the one which is. Not sure though. The whole game suffers from the story not being told clearly, I personally dont like that. She even out right says it in one part "hug me". How about explaining to her "Alma, your touch kills people and I am worried it will kill me too. Why do you want to hug me anyways? Why are you protecting me? Oh! I am your son? Okay! That explains a lot." and etc. It just feels like another disney cartoon moment of two characters sitting with ♥♥♥♥♥ in their mouths and not explaining stuff to each other. Basically, wasted potential and that is sad. I can only imagine how the story could have been better (It is still good, at least the potential for it is there), I guess.

Sometimes you are not sure why something happened or why is something happening. There are apparitions that chase you and try to kill you. In the first part it was explainable by the fact, that Alma SPOILER didnt know you are her son or that she was very angry and that is why she basically lashed out on everyone, even her son (to be fair, you are helping her mortal enemies and trying to kill her). But why here? These apparitions even attack your brothers (Paxton) puppets, but then they also attack you? Why? Cant she control them? Or is she trying to kill you again? She has so many chances, why doesnt she do it then? She is literally next to you in an elevator scene.

The game suffers from lack of choices. communication and explanation, it basically leaves you wanting more, its like you tasted something good, but only A SPOONFUL. You are still hungry and that hunger wont get satisfied. Sad. Still a good game though and better in every aspect than the previous one (standard FEAR)
