This was such an excellent game. As a big Ace Attorney fan, I was eager to give this game a try, and it did not disappoint. The characters were quick to grow on me, and I found the setting very interesting. I actually loved reading and Facts and Knowledge that popped up throughout the game while people were talking. It was a great way to teach people about China during this time and events in history, as well as facts related to postmortem examinations.
The cases were well thought out and all of them contributed something valuable to the overall story. Shen and Afu as a duo were also quick to grow on me.
As the cases progress, they get even more enjoyable, and the game has a satisfying end, with definite room for more.
I know I am certainly looking forward to more, if there will be any!
The setting offers a refreshing and unique experience, while enjoying Ace Attorney (and a little Edgeworth Investigations) style fun. Play it. You may enjoy it, and you will definitely learn a lot of cool things.

Completed the game within a day and really enjoyed it!
- The cases offer just the right amount of challenge without being too simple.
- Gameplay is engaging and doesn't get dry with somewhat new mechanics introduced in each chapter.
- Art style is unique and reminiscent of traditional Chinese brush painting(?), but fits the 1900s setting perfectly.
- The ending felt inadequate

I absolutely loved the plot twists and enjoyed being tossed around in the swirls of confusion with the side characters like the clown I am. A great pity that it is only 6 chapters long. Thanks for the ride!

Super amazing detective game in line with games from the Ace Attorney franchise (which the developers were inspired by!) that I'd recommend to any fan of murder mystery-based media

Great game

This game is outstanding. The mysteries and deductions are excellent, very Ace-Attorney-esque, but add additional mechanics (i.e. a time-sensitive debate). The setting (1900 China) is unique and a fascinating look at history. The music and art are beautiful. I enjoyed every minute of this game and hope for a sequel.

I'm not a diehard detective game/novel fan but I had my fair share. This is an enjoyable game to play and scratches your brain a little bit. The plot isn't far-fetched - yes there are logic hops where I could use a bit more convincing, but overall, well-constructed grand plot, cute art and soundtrack, plenty extra to read about, with just about right amount of frustration one should get while playing detective games lol.
The voice over is better than expectation. I was giggling when hearing the heavy Chinese accent with broken grammar - that is how I sound sometimes I guess lol. It is real and fun to listen to. A few English speaking characters talk a bit 'theatre-like' to my ears but overall, beyond expectation!

A beautiful game that is best described as Ace Attorney but based in turn of the century China. It's a little more serious, but has incredible charm. The puzzles are all challenging but the logic is easy enough to follow once you get a feel for narritive.

Amazing Ace Detective game that's also newbie friendly. If you get stuck, there's hints and even spoilers to help you through the story. Great art style and introduces many historical facts from the late Qing era in China.

it's an amazing game with immersive storytelling and cases that are interesting and fun to solve.
i like how they provide you with facts about china historical timelines, events, people, etc. and knowledge on autopsy.
i'm also fond of the art style and voice acting - dialogues that are essential are voiced.
afu is so cute and silly, love the chemistry between him and shen chungping!
highly recommended if you enjoy detective/solving mysteries games~
