Building stuff takes WAAAAAAAAAAY FOREVER and slow.
If they fix it, then its good to buy. For now, stay away.
Its not relaxing at all because you need to gather food fast for upcoming winter

The time it takes to build something is ridiculously slow and taxing (your workers work very slow to gather resources and your builders not even moving to the new building). i am not sure they gonna release an update to fix that.
this game is stressing me out.

It's not really a no or yes for me; obviously I have played quite a bit, but more so I am learning the ropes still.

I say it is an easy game to pick up, but hard/difficult to maintain/learn. This game is a very very chill casual game. If you are looking for something that goes on the side of your screen while you do something else; this game is probably right for you. I would say it is more of an idle game than a simulation game only because there isn't really much to go on by except maybe build houses and wait until events happen which only happen if you have enough nobility which I feel shouldn't really matter. I want to see events happen when I don't have any nobility whether it is bad or good!

What I do not like about this game is the lack of things to do: you don't really have control over maintenance or upgrades, or exploring. For example, you have a hero to explore things/interactions, but there are very few on the map anyways and the only time you can get more is if it happens randomly. I don't understand why you only have 1 hero, do you get more soldiers later on? How do you level him up? How do you get more gear?

I am sitting on so much gold, but have nothing to spend it on except housing and other production items... how can I get resources other than waiting for my people to grab it? There is so much things wrong with the maintenance of the game and the lack of upgrades to not help you move forward within the game.

I also don't particularly like how you cannot choose another person to "court", I randomly chose one on my first round and it was really upsetting to know you couldn't pick another person; especially since it is a main quest rather than an optional one.

Can't recommend this game for anyone looking for a "Shrek" copy-paste game, it reminds me of Shrek and I love the aesthetic of it, I am just disappointed that it showed nothing like that when playing the game. It has nothing to support it other than a building game.

- hard to learn
- not enough events

I fundamentally really like this game. It's easy to get into the flow of building out your city.

With that said, I think the art style feels very dull - it doesn't match the vibrancy of the concept art; and could have certainly done with a shader pass. The pace of the game left me feeling confused - I unlocked city walls many hours into my first playthrough; long past the point at which I could meaningfully edit the layout to account for fortifications. There isn't much of a defence element here - I never faced a situation where anything attacked my structures. The walls seem largely for show beyond build individuals towers to shoot dragons.

I had a bustling economy but my people kept starving...I don't get it. The game teaches you that placing houses near production structures reduces population happiness.. but I think there's something inexplicable system tying food storage and pathfinding in ways that feel very impractical and counter intuitive.
