Details:

This update introduces story moments and lucrative business opportunities that focus on you rather than your crew. These can be discovered while exploring planet surfaces or through specific phone calls from your small business.

The time clock has been overhauled to provide hints (once repaired) about their locations, but they can still be missed or end dramatically if you arrive unprepared. *Content appears early, around the time you reach the station.

Increased planet goods output to accommodate the future new advertisement system.
Increased default font size to enhance visibility and prepare for mobile gaming platforms.
Added a new system to allow players to buy planetary cryptos during events.
Increased the planetary cryptos purchase limit to 300 per visit.
Made more background objects interactive.
Added a secret event for players to discover.
Added a second secret event for players to discover.
Added secret phone numbers to call.
Made more store-bought items usable.
Increased power gain from discovering a specific hidden artifact.
Added 10 new characters to the cast, appearing throughout your adventure.

Ranke - A highly decorated elite fighter with an unmatched love for battle.
Cassandra - Co-director at Vortex Nexus and a key investor in breakthrough technologies.
Taro - A playful spirit juggling part-time jobs, with a passion for drama and a flair for the stage.

Approximately 17 single-spaced pages of new dialogue (8,355 words)
Added 57 choices that impact your adventure in both small and significant ways.
Added two fun interactive quizzes featuring a variety of questions and a reward.
New default phone call scenarios
Now able to earn a broader range of rewards through events, such as ship enhancements and increased popularity
Added visual clues to help find Astra when missing
Added two new outfits for a character unlocked through player choices leading to a special event.

Random Events Explained:
I realized during testing that galaxy map side-story events can indeed be missed, either because they don’t appear often enough or they are easy to overlook. For now, I am keeping the system as it is. With time and a sharp eye, players can eventually find all the events. This approach reduces repetitive story moments. The goal was to give each player a unique experience in some way.

At first, the chance of encountering these events is high, but the probability decreases as more are experienced.

Fixes:
- Time clock getting stuck at year 1, day 1 under certain circumstances.
- Time clock not displaying pointer at last week of year
- Removed 'the end' terminology from first set of credits in preparation for 1.0 update

For those playing the full game from the demo. Navigate to the save location of the demo. It would be: c:/users/[your user name]/AppData/Local/Crypterion_Demo (also shown in the image)

Copy the save game file there, and place it inside the Crypterion folder. Basically, the same "local" location. If you don't see that folder, starting a game in the full version and traveling to your first planet should create it with it's own saved game.

Early Access Feedback

So I played through the whole game. And I have to say it kind of trailed off in the end. Like the artifact arc was deep and emotional, and had things to do. But the faction arc was just kind of a quick series of events one after the other. The rescue was a poignant, but other than that it kind of felt too easy. And in the end I really felt like it didn't wrap much up. Like with the name itself Faction Arc, I expected it to be about contending with the other factions for power. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Enjoy 20% off Crypterion! Astra is hungry for what's cooking, but the next update needs a little more time in the oven. *SPOILER WARNING

The next update is similar to the "Crew Encounter" system, but with a different approach to bring stories moments where the focus is on you. It's called "Opportunities". You can randomly happen upon them and just as easily miss them. But since I'm nice, I give you clues to their location and how to make them successful in the time room.

If you come to a party uninvited without a bag of chips or soda, you might not just get in.

I'm making these updates as fun as I can. I hope you will enjoy them. What if you happen upon the "Rimshot aptitude test?" You better be ready!

This update is super tricky to test, because the player could just run into them at any time with all the other game mechanics in play!

A new set of NPC avatars will also be joining to liven up these story events.

- Extended the opening tutorial
- Introduction to ship mechanics when entering areas for first time
- Lightened narration font for better visibility

- Automatically exits space travel on planet arrival for convenience
- Fixed soft lock on Empress rout if Numari event completed early under certain circumstances

- Fixed bug related to Golden frog. Should appear in marketplace and gives ½ more income on your first sale.

Waiting for the finished version

Just wanted to say that I played Omnilink and I enjoyed it very much. I haven't bought Crypterion, nor tried the demo yet - I want to enjoy it in complete state, without spoiling anything. Also, as a rule I avoid titles in Early Access. I am looking forward to playing this, once it is complete. Please don't give up and push through, until the end. The last stretch is always the hardest. I wish you the best of luck, dev!...
