IMPORTANT: CRASH REPORTS
With the addition of more and more mods to your game, your chances of experiencing a crash increase. Additionally, there are a number of problems with Steam workshop mods that may affect your game. When getting mods over Steam, you may need to restart your game a few times in order to get the mods to load, but there are rare occasions where you can also end up downloading a mod as the Steam servers go down, resulting in an incomplete or corrupted mod.

If you are experiencing a crash that you can't fix, I need to see your Starbound log file because without this, there is nothing I can do for you.

Where do I find this file?
You can get to your Starbound log file by right clicking on Starbound in your steam library and choosing "Properties". From here go to the "Local Files" tab and select "Browse Local Files", this should open up your Starbound root folder. Once in this folder, navigate to the "storage" folder and open the file starbound.log in a text editor. for this, I recommend using something like Notepad++, as Windows' default text editor can sometimes jumble all of the lines together.

How do I send this to you?
Once you've got the log file up, copy the entire contents to your clipboard. Next, go to http://pastebin.com/ and paste the log file into the text area and click on "Create New Paste". Finally, simply copy the link in your browser and post it here.

What now?
Please keep in mind that it may take me some time to help you, as I wont be able to check this all the time, but feel free to see if I've answered anyone else's crashes that may be similar to yours.

If all else fails and the Steam version isn't working, you can always get the mod off of the Chucklefish Forums here: http://community.playstarbound.com/resources/zz-mech-modifications.3960/ I have yet to experience a crash when using mods manually.

After getting the quest to teleport to the ship, I was told to go to my Ship's A.I and tell it to teleport me onto the Modification's Ship for Mechs, the moment I clicked the text that would teleport me to that ship, it immediately crashed and gave me an error screen. I have two error messages I can show, one from the Starbound error screen, and the log you told me to retrieve.

Starbound's error message:

Error! Exception client main-loop (Map Exception) Key 'talk' not found in Map::get()

@Imbord214 One of your mods may be causing some issues. The error basically says that there's no such thing as the "talk" animation, which is used in pretty much every mission in the game.

It may be caused by the mod A.V.I.A.N, which affects the UI of S.A.I.L.

Alright I'll try removing A.V.I.A.N and I'll tell you if that was it

@ZimaZang The mod creator of A.V.A.I.N U.I has now updated the mod, whether or not you have the A.V.A.I.N U.I mod, no more interruptions will occur. I was able to enter the ship with and without the mod.

Steam removes mediafire links automatically, so for now you can find the link on the chucklefish forums page. Its the link just above the title image.

If you right click Starbound in your Steam library and choose properties, you can head to the "local files" tab and choose "browse local files". This should take you to Starbound's install folder, which should have another folder in it called "mods". From there, just drop the .PAK file into it and you're good to go.

When you try to open the box from the job, the game crashes with an error - [Error] Could not load image asset '/items/active/unsorted/xsm_pierregift/rewardbag.png', using placeholder default.
(AssetException) No such asset '/items/active/unsorted/xsm_pierregift/rewardbag.png'
Removed the mod and reinstalled (I thought maybe damaged the mod files) but without success. Just 1 time crashed after taking the job at the cake, but after restarting the game everything became normal. How can I solve my problem?
