Why Early Access?

“The foundations of the game are going to be ready for early release with some initial game modes. However as it's still quite early we invite the community to vote, shape and help balance elements of the game as we grow it over time. The long term goal is to have a wide selection of well calibrated game modes as well as a future single player story mode which players will get a taste of in the Early Access through a prologue.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect the game to be in Early Access for a year, at which stage our goal is to release the final version with the full story mode campaign and console cross platform multiplayer.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of the game plans to add:

- 8 hour campaign story mode
- Better balance to weapons, abilities and stats in game
- A wide array of polished game modes
- Local and online Co-op survival mode”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game currently has all the base weapons, abilities, stats and movement to give players an excellent experience whilst playing. Additionally there will be an in game progression loop to keep players engaged alongside the council element directly offering high ranking players the ability to vote on the changes they wish to see in game.

In terms of game modes, the game will have a prologue of the story alongside 4 initial online game modes.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually raise the price as we ship new content and features.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will have a discord channel inviting the community to socialise as well as direct voting inside the game which will drive competition and empower players to shape how the game evolves over time.

A big focus of ours will be to directly engage our player base through this in-game voting UI that rewards the best players in the game.”

Welcome to Arcas Champions, a thrilling third-person ability shooter set in the heart of the Ape Homeworld. Enter a realm where the clash of factions, exotic landscapes, and powerful abilities make every match an exhilarating experience. Choose your Champion, harness unique abilities, and navigate this dense, mysterious world as you fight to dominate.

Setting

The world of Arcas is in civil war. Sparked by the sudden crash of an alien spaceship and the rediscovery of Bastonium—a mysterious, long-forgotten element with immense potential and dangerous properties, Renegades misfits and Village Elite traditionalists battle for control over the planet. As each faction vies to control Bastonium’s power, the line between nature and technology blurs, and a fierce battle for supremacy ensues.

Gameplay

Gameplay revolves around carefully crafted Champion characters, each with unique Stats, Totem-Abilities, and customizable Weapons. Champions can be personalized to fit your playstyle, whether you prefer agilily, damage or support. Master your movements with wall vaults, gliding, and powerful leaps as you swing, jump, and outmaneuver opponents in thrilling jungle skirmishes. Your skills and tactics will be the key to survival and domination in this untamed world.

Game Modes

During Early Access, players can dive into intense online team-based game modes that require both strategic thinking and lightning-fast reflexes. Tribe Wars (TDM), Tribe Supremacy (Control), Brawl (Elimination) and Banana Fever (Extraction) will be the first available modes with more to come over time. Compete in ranked matches to rise through the leaderboards, earning prestige and recognition. As you climb the ranks, you’ll gain influence and prestige, impacting your place within the Arcas world.

Council

As a unique feature of Arcas Champions, the Council allows high-ranking players to participate in shaping the future of the game. Champions who achieve prestige can vote on key changes, from weapon buffs and nerfs to new game modes and community-driven feature proposals. Your input helps define the evolution of Arcas Champions, making this not just a game, but a community-driven experience where your voice truly matters.
