Welcome to the Early Access Version of BACKROOM COMPANY!

BACKROOM COMPANY is a game about surviving in the mysterious Backrooms. Through the Early Access version, you can experience a variety of maps and challenges.

Features Available in the Early Access Version:

• Explore Additional Maps: Explore not only the 'Hotel' map but also the 'Pool' and 'Parking Lot' maps, each with unique environments and dangers to survive.

• New Creatures: Face off against or hide from the new creatures appearing in each map.

• Multiplayer Support: Collaborate with other players to complete objectives and survive together.

• Achieve Objectives and Collect Items: Collect items, complete missions, and clear each map. Additionally, use a camcorder to capture 'paranormal phenomena' and 'creatures' in the Backrooms to collect research data.

What to Expect in the Full Version:

• Additional Thematic Maps, Including a Sewer Map: The full version will include a variety of thematic maps, such as the 'Sewer', each with its own unique atmosphere and challenges.

• New Creatures Added: Each map will introduce new creatures, providing a more diverse and intense survival experience.

• Deeper Game Mechanics: Advanced strategic elements and mechanics will make surviving in the Backrooms even more complex and thrilling.

Important Notes:

The Early Access version provides an opportunity to experience an extended portion of the Backroom universe. The full version will include a story ending, support for Steam Deck and various controllers, as well as additional maps, creatures, and thematic maps. Please stay tuned!

Game Introduction:

BACKROOM COMPANY is a specialized company exploring the supernatural phenomenon known as 'noclip,' which generates randomly connected rooms. No one knows who founded this company or why it was established. Many hired explorers have gotten lost in the maze-like spaces or disappeared for unknown reasons. You must trace the clues left by previous explorers and collect strange items found only in these confined spaces. Your ultimate goal is to send the collected items to the dumbwaiter in the main control room.

In the main control room, you can buy and sell items. Be sure to prepare weapons or healing drinks before starting your research. You can't carry too many items at once, so choose carefully. Once you select a stage in the main control room, the tightly shut elevator doors will open, and the research will begin. Even if you die, as long as your teammates achieve the target amount, everyone will escape the stage. However, if you fail to achieve the target amount more than five times, the main control room will stop functioning, and the stage will end.

Use the walkie-talkie to communicate with your teammates. If you get too far from them, the signal may be cut off. Even in a critical state, you can assist other teammates in the main control room. When 'Bacteria' appear, don't look back and run. They're incredibly fast and cannot be killed. If there's a locker room nearby, hide there – it's your only chance of survival. When 'Parasite' with deformed heads appear, don't make a sound, not even footsteps. They can't see you but will detect you through sound. Fortunately, your excellent reflexes can help you avoid their attacks.
