maybe add a feature, like a mini game or an actual book you can read using UI to make this mod worthwhile. because reading is more of a grind then anything, and since this mod makes reading longer.. it makes more of grind.

Honestly I'm not sure I'd want to use this 1 hour/day but I don't want to play at that speed. For 3 or 4 hour days this is quite balanced and helps a lot with the fact actions don't scale with day length.

partly strange mod. I not see realism in long reading a skill book that doesn't give us much knowledges. In real life we doesn't have to read a big encyclopedia or textbooks to make just a slightly better bandage on your arm or make a wooden box because it is just a first aid, not a surgeon high education. I suppose good idea to make red reading books like skill books by reading speed and reading by pages. reading journals (auto, herbalist) should be some longer, it is good decision. ofc it's your business, but think about it

Hey, really love your mod, but is it possible to make reading journals/magazines etc. faster? Books take a long time to read and it makes sense, but reading a magazine for an hour is weird

10 minutes per page may be a tad excessive, but is far, far more accurate than Vanilla.
What other downtime activity is there anyways.
And intermediate multipliers may actually have a function at times.

I can honestly say : I could not play the game without this mod. That's why I made it as first in line.

I made the mistake of taking slow reader with this. Jesus christ, I could finish reading a book in real life before I finished one in the game.

I'd gladly use your mods but it seems you're replacing vanilla lua files with edited ones instead of incorporating your changes via programming. Which leads to increased risks of conflicts with other mods and clashes with any updates devs do to these files later.

the game is already sped up though by a factor of 24, while some actions take 'real time' like removing sheets or eating, others like carpentry and reading use game time
