Intro/Disclaimer
In this guide i will be explaining one of the best strategies in halo wars. This strategy isn't perfect, but it works well for new players, fast players and those who enjoy rushing. This guide is strictly an explanation of said strategy and nothing more.

Please don't take this to seriously.
Who To Play
This strategy is UNSC faction specific, and can be done by all 3 commanders, however it is best done by Professor Andres or Sergeant Forge.

Professor Andres:

Unique Vehicle Unit: Gremlin

Unique Air Unit: Hawk

Advantage: Upgrades and research time halved

Leader Power: Cryo bomb

Sergeant Forge:

Unique Troop Unit: Cyclops

Unique Vehicle Unit: Grizzly

Advantage: Instant heavy supply pads

Leader Power: Carpet bomb

Professor Andres can be selected to make great use of her upgrade advantage and her Cryo bomb with this strategy. Forge can be selected for his instant heavy supply pads to help bring in extra money faster. His Carpet bomb ability can also be useful. Forge is my personal preference, however Professor Andres can pull of this strategy very well.
Strategy
The strategy consists of limiting variety of the players army, in order to rush upgrades for the Warthogs. Once the Warthogs have been fully upgraded, their speed, numbers, and overwhelming power can melt even the strongest of army's and base's, but still maintain the speed to retreat and defend if the need arises. Players can add variety to their army doing this strategy by including infantry or armour, however both will slow the army's marching speed down. Aircraft support is a much better option, however does take time and funds to build.
What To Do
The strategy itself is easy to learn, once in the game, players first objective should be setting up a solid economy. If playing as Sergeant Forge, this will be easier as his supply pads are maxed out right away. The typical base build is mostly all supply pads and reactors. If the player has the option to expand quickly, they should do so as fast as possible. Players will have a much easier time having their main base and a secondary base strictly for income and potentially more power.

Example secondary base:

While players are building up and readying to attack, make sure to stock up on Warthogs or even turrets to defend in the meantime.

Main base:

Once the players have a solid economy growing, they should get the first 2 upgrades done right away. Once completed, players should then max their population with Warthogs and prep for their attack. While preparing, or even while attacking, the last upgrade for the Warthogs should be completed.

If players are doing this strategy correctly, they should have maxed out Warthogs and a full population around the 8-12 minute mark. The game should be over around the 20 minute mark, if playing a 1v1 or 2v2. Players do not have to wait for a full population, and can attack sooner if they see fit.

The Attack
The attacking is the easy part, if the player is doing a 100% warthog run, then they can press the "All Units" button and set a target. While attacking, it's always a good idea to have Warthogs ready to be built to replenish the front line, or prepare for a second wave. It's ideal if while attacking, the player targets and units or turrets before targeting the main building. Bases should fall in under 90 seconds at most. Repeat if necessary until the victory screen appears.

If the first wave isnt enough fire power to take down the base, and reinforcements are to far away, pulling back can be a good option. Warthogs are fast and can drive back to base in seconds. If the player fails an attack or gets pushed back, prepare for a counter attack. A counter attack afer a failed attack can mean game over for the Warthog rush.
Countering
If going up against a player who is warthog rushing, a few ways to counter them are available. If playing as the Covenant, spew out Hunters or anti tank turrets or anything that counters vehicles. If playing as UNSC, players cna pump out anti tank turrets or any anti vehicle unit. Players usning this strategy rarely combine their Warthogs with other units, meaning players going up against this tactic should make use of anti tank units. The best way yo out play this stratefy is by pumping out anti tank units, push back the first attack, and use that momentum to counter attack before they can ready themselves. Once a warthog rush runs out of Warthogs, they cant spit out units fast enough to defend.

Counter attacking is the most effective method of acheving victory against the Warthog rush.

Funny, but have you heard of ODST/Marine Rushing with the UNSC, and Grunt Rushing with the Covenant?

Park a unit, (Or one of the covenant hero's.) nearby an enemy base. have 3 barracks, (& or covenant equivalent.) Send the units via pelican, and or pad in case of covenant.

It works wonders with 4 elephants on cutter just infinite Marine rush (as long as you have the economy)

Oh..!
You Just Realized this...?

I've been doing that on X360 (Live Too) Back in 2004. Get on Mah lvl (rest of Steam Community)
343 industry was (somewhat) okay than. Now However.. (well, we all know about how they tend To 'fix their games') and honestly.. it's a Shame & Sad state.

That they restrict players - Even Further Now..

Old Anders was WAY better for this strategy. Now it's just easily countered and anyone with a brain can stop it easily...

The AI in the Sarcophagus mod tried this strategy on me, except they used Wombat drones on me as Forge. Thankfully that run I focused on building up turrets and secondary bases as soon as I could.

In a 2v2, with another normal difficulty AI on my side, that AI on my side tried the same strategy, and it was having trouble clearing out a rebel base, so I helped it clear it out and it immediately put down like, two air pads or whatever they're called, and rushed the enemy with Vultures after I gave it a *bit* more supplies (~10,000). Suffice to say the enemy AI was defeated.

My favorite part of this is that you put the reactors in the middle pads of the base the same way I do. You ever notice how much louder they are when they're upgraded?
