Customizable Meat Spoiler!

By default, instantly spoils all raw and cooked meats when placed inside, including prime and jerky!

Spoiled meat lasts 10x longer inside the bin

Level requirement: 1
Engram cost: 0
Crafting cost: 20 wood
Crafted in: player inventory
Craft/Repair XP: 3.7


Optional Custom Config Settings
NOTES:
  • All settings are optional
  • Default behavior is to instantly spoil
  • Setting to 0 is the same as excluding the setting from the config
  • Spoiling multipliers are floats, SlotCount is an integer, HideVulture is a bool!
  • Use a number between 0-1 (ie: 0.5) to spoil faster but not instant
  • 1 will be default spoil timer
  • Anything higher than 1 actually slows down spoiling ;)
  • SlotCount <= 0 will default to 15, anything else overrides slots, setting to 1 will result in 1 slot!
  • HideVulture=true to disable the beautiful beast :(

@Werkrat, did you ever have a chance to look into the problem with hiding the vulture? I can't get it to hide, either.

Unfortunately, this mod has serveral bugs/problems:

1.: Changing the slot count doesn't work at all. It works with 300 slots, no matter how much more the value is set (but still showing the correct amount in the description).

2.: Meat only spoils if you access its inventory. Until then, there's de facto the normal meat in there you just have put in.

3.: Along with 2., we get a problem if we increase the stack size (vanilla, no mod) to a critical point. I have a stack size of 1,000 each raw/spoiled meat, so pulling in its inventory all available meat will have a "network failure" as a consequence (which might be due to vanilla mechanics if you access/craft just too many stacks at once). This could be circumvented by instantly converting raw/cooked meat into spoiled if just put in its inventory, not only after access it.

What a pity, it seems to be the only mod that could instantly craft meat with a very high spoiler time into its spoiled counterpart.

What should be made out of wood? Use SS/S+, take the Tek Forge/Industrial Grinder to change resource type.

There's a problem with hiding the vulture, I'm not sure if/when I'll be able to look into it
