Drown Once
You just need to walk in the water. In some areas of the game you can swim. Those don't count.
Best place to achieve it is in the area with paper boats towards the end of the game.
[EDIT] You can get this one right at the beginning, as you start on the pier.

Stac an Armin

Die from falling off a cliff once
This one is also very easy. Just jump off a cliff. You can do it from a cliff where you can jump into water. I did it in this place (just before arriving at the lighthouse).

I just did it by jumping into the big hole you find in the middle of the island.

I did it from the cliff where the GHOST was in Chapter 4.

My favorite spot to get the cliff fall one was in the second chapter, with that huge hole in the ground between the ship and the place where you get the sheep herder's story. I didn't even know that was an achievement until I came across that and just had to jump in, lol.

I agree with the others who say to just turn around at the start of the game. I had to know what would happen if I tried to keep walking out to sea and I got an achievement.

Walk backwards and to the left right from the start and you get the drowning acheivement without trying.... My flight pedals did that for me. I had my first achievement while I watched what I thought was a cut scene :P

Related rant: WTF is with games that assume all joystick style inputs are XBox controllers, and provide no method of configuring or disabling them? It literally breaks games for no useful purpose.
