I already fixed this for three other vehicles, but simply didn't stumble over the 474 having the problem either (don't actually play the game anymore...). So, thank you for the error report! Seems most subscribers are only using either of the variants.
Anyways, should be fixed now. Before testing, please make sure steam really updated the asset by unsubscribing and resubscribing.
Unfortunately, since version 1.6, I cannot use the 3 car version and the 6 car version simultaneously.
I get the following error:
Broken assets:
Custom Assets: 785264960.Trailer0: Duplicate prefab name
Custom Assets: 785264960.Trailer1: Duplicate prefab name [BrokenAssetException]

With IPT, only one version (the first installed version) can be select, whereas the other version is unselectable.
To ease your eye pain, I would recommend using Daylight Classic mod and/or less saturating color LUTs.
Your idea it's good, add a line color on the rectangle between doors and roof, or the roof entire! Your other trains/metro are awesome too and very unusual!
I actually don't want to add further variants of the asset just for coloring. There are already more to come for the bi-current subseries (also featuring a pantograph for remote parts of the routes).
