Tutorial: Converting your Project to Android/iOS with Intel XDK
By Faytless
NOTE

This guide only talks about CONVERTING, This does not cover OPTIMIZATIONS!

This is a fairly easy way to convert your application to android. I found that the KB in the program is a bit too complex and might scare off some of the newer people here. This is an old method we used to use with construct that seems to work pretty well.

Video Below!

Instructions

1. Export your game via File -- Deployment --- Android
2. Open Intel XDK and Log in
3. Create a new project, and select either HTML/HTML Cordova
4. Right click on www on the right side, and click Open in Explorer
5. Keep that window open, and now find your exported file.
6. Transfer the contents of www into the www folder that intel XDK made for you
7. Emulate to test
8. Go Build, and select your platform you are building for.
9. let this work, it will take a while then click Build App!
10. Download your File, and save this to your phone or tablet
11. Enable 3rd party sources on your phone and enjoy!

TIPS- Remove any files you don't need in your project, and only upload the ones you actually use!

Yeah, RPG maker doesn't cut assets, it just put the ENTIRE RTP in your project regardless. I used this method for Construct 2 and it works beautifully. The other way is complicated, I know, but it might be worth it for you in the long run.

another way I was setting up, there the program has too many paths and libraries. And that's about it.

I work in Clickteam Fusion 2.5 and I bought it here. It compresses files in use and cuts off all the excess not used. The problem comes with this app is just not possible to make a game for Android and the application for which was bought by many -just a hoax.Program in a completely raw form in this area.

Oh yeah, i agree -- its not easy -- If you have trouble with XDK though, if you can get the other way working its HARD to setup, but easy once its done. you can convert your game offline. Whats funny tho1ugh is that you need a decent phone or tablet to run the RPG well. Go to google play and look up RPG MAKER MV TECH DEMO XDK. And see if it can run on your device. It is a bench mark.

You Generally have to convert the extra files in an APK expansion file -- so your Base game generally needs to be less than 100mb ( google play and most stores do not let you upload larger than that) Then, you can make an expansion file up to 2gb which adds the resources to your game. In all honestly, its severly over complicated, but this is how most Application Stores run.

leaves the developer lied when stated that you can easily create a game on the phone. It's stealing money!
