Step 1:
Ammunition: Don't buy stupid things. Plain and simple, dont waste money on all the ammo in the world. You're not gonna need all 9,000 rounds. Wait until its all gone.

Step 2:
Camos/Skins: Do NOT BUY WEAPON CAMOS. THAT IS USELESS UNLESS YOU'RE RICH. And if you were GTA 5 rich, you wouldn't be reading this.

Step 3:
Weapon choice: Buy the best economical weapon for each classification of weapons. Do not buy every single weapon just to not use them. Buy one of each class and no more. Best weapons of each classification:
Pistol: AP Pistol
Machine gun: Combat MG
Assault Rifle: Bullpup Rifle
Sniper Rifle: Heavy Sniper
Shotgun: Assault Shotgun
Heavy Weapon: Homing Launcher, Grenade Launcher
Throwable: Grenade, Sticky Bomb

Step 4:
Cars: Don't not buy more than one car. Buy one thats fast, reliable, and most preferably a 4-seater to fit all of you and your friends. Do NOT BUY EVERYTHING in the customizable menu at the Los Santos Customs shop. Not all addons make a difference. Such as brakes, they're useless. Window tinting, useless. Who are you hiding from? Your wife? Theres something called radar buddy.

Step 5:
Apartments: DO NOT BUY ANY APARTMENTS THAT DO NOT ALLOW YOU TO PLAY HEISTS. Do not buy the trailers in Blaine County, the houses in Rockford Hills, or any of the garages. From all the money you save from not buying 9,000 bullets for every gun and not buying a "precious" pink weapon camo, and not pimping out a useless ride, you should have enough GTA dollars to buy a high end APARTMENT. NOT A HOUSE, AN APARTMENT WITH HEISTS ACCESSABLE.

Step 6:
Golden Spending Rule: DO NOT SURCOME TO PEER PRESSURE AND ANYONE'S FLASHY BULLCRAP. The last thing you need is to submit to someone's douchy habits and buyout on character accessories and new DLC items such as jets, clothing, earing, watches, cars, and new weapons. If you've made it this far as to saving money and grinding missions, do not waste it all, because then missions and blindly spending money will become a vicious cycle.
