MGE is a server plugin developed by Lange and cPrice in order for players in improve their one-on-one skills and aim. Inspired by ammomod, two players are set in a chosen arena and DM (deathmatch), where the winner is the first to score 20 kills. Many times the score to 20 will be logged in a form of ranking system.

But why would I want to play MGE? what is the purpose?

There are many reasons why you may want to play MGE, it can give players without much experience a deathmatch advantage against other players.

How do I not look terrible?

The answer is featured under the next section.

It is a calculated algorithm that is a ratio of balance between you and your opponents score.

You begin with 1600, and increase or decrease from there.

Elo can be lost or gained dependent on the outcome of an MGE duel.

The more games you win, your elo increases.

The more games you lose, your elo decreases.

Your main goal is to reach the number 1 position on the server, not actually try to improve your deathmatch.

Now many of you may ask; "How do I raise my elo?"

Gaining elo is a tactic that many people wonder to themselves every day.

"How do I effectively outplay my opponent?"

"No matter how much I try, I just can't win."

As many of you know, the most effective way to win in a deathmatch situation is to be able to aim better than your opponent, right? It only makes sense.

Wrong.

Many strategies have been invented to prevent people from reaching 20 points at the end of an MGE match. You can easily theorize several ways to gain an advantage over your opponent.


As demonstrated by this video, my victim had no control over his rocket jump. No actual effort is required for this gain of position. Term known as "shotgun blocking" or "shotgun denying"





Some gameplay tactics and unlocks can be used to give yourself an advantage, depending on arenas.

Reserve Shooter

My personal favorite. Works optimal with the "shotgun denying" tactic. Minicrits do more knockback damage, resulting in extra denial.









Gunboats



A classic. With this secondary you are basically able to out-position your opponent 90% of the time, giving you the ultimate height advantage with a tactic called "counter-jumping", in which you immediately rocket jump if a person rocket jumps to you.





Mantreads



With this handy item, anybody inside of the "endif" arena will be unable to score any kind of points. The easiest method of gaining elo...














...or farming elo

"Farming" elo is the most successful form of recieving elo.

Simply finding players that happen to be tabbed out, afk, or losing internet connection can aid you in the process of earning points. No effort required.



Just search for someone with a large point cap between you, someone with a higher score will benefit you by a large margin.



Scout out players that have been idling in the server for a while, and go wild.
You can usually get a very high point boost within a short amount of time.
This form of elo gaining is flawless, but not as common.
