You are tired of the default vehicles and you wish to replace them with the ones you downloaded from the workshop? Then this guide is for you.

By default when you install a custom vehicle, it is only added to the pool and will spawn along side with default vehicles.

Learn what mods you need to install and how to use them. Simply follow the easy steps below.

In order to make all this possible, you need to be able to prevent default vehicles you want to replace from spawning. This is one of the features of the Advanced Vehicle Options mod. To install a mod, simply click on the subscribe button.

Before the mod is able to work, it must be activated. So, in the game, go to the main menu, click on content manager then mods. Find the mod in the list and check the box.

If you haven't already, go ahead and subscribe to some of the awesome vehicles available on the workshop. Check regularly for new vehicles.

Now that you have installed the custom vehicle that you want, it is time to disable default ones. So launch the game and load up your save.

In my example I'll disable the default firetruck:



Follow those steps:

1. Open the Advanced Vehicle Options panel.
   
2. Select the vehicle to disable
   
3. Uncheck the Allow vehicle to spawn option
   
4. Remove existing vehicles (optional)

There you have it. Enjoy.

You gonna need Improved Public Transport mod for that. So go ahead, subscribe and activate it.

In my example I want to replace external trains with TGVs while having default trains for my lines.

Now follow those steps:

1. Open the Advanced Vehicle Options again and select the passenger train.
   
2. Uncheck the Allow vehicle to spawn option. Without IPT only TGVs would spawn now.
   
3. Select your line and set Select depot to one of the stations then set Select type to Passenger Train. This has to be done for every lines.
